Not even this receiver will make his voice sound good. Just purchased this Receiver for $589 more than 1/2 off the MSRP. Can’t wait to try it out.

Please let me know how it goes thinking about 820 at $599 Canadian that's screaming deal,were as I'll have to pay $999. For 830. I do like 9.2 I got 2 Adcom power amps will be doing the heavy lifting. Let me know if you're more that satisfied. Cheers

what i dont get is the adverts it says you can have front height speakers and rear height speakers yet there only seems to be 1 pair of height outputs on the back?

I am buying a second hand one of these and watched this video and I don't understand any of the descriptions and all I want is a two speaker stereo connection to play CD'S, How do I do that?.

I'm toren between the 820 & 830 reason I can get the 820 at $599. Canadian. I don't really care for zone 2 or 3! The only thing I like about 830 is 9.2. Going pair up with my old school Adcom GFA 5500 2ch 350watts and gfa 5503 3ch 350 each channel. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Dude just order the 830 from electronics for less or best buy and dont look back ..820 is 7.2 and 830 9.2 and many options including tone controls for all channels and advance EQ

If I want to use the muti-room audio feature and power all 3 zones while still retaining the 7.1 channels in zone 1 do BOTH zones 2 and 3 need power amps or just zone 3? Thanks

This is what has brought down the quality of these AVR too much bells whistle. Buy cheap receiver $50. It be better for the sound. Yes you need 2 ch amp.

Is it an HDMI 2.1 receiver? Cause I know it got a Firmware update for eARC support which is usually a HDMI 2.1 feature but want to know if it actually is HDMI 2.1. eARC ain’t really useful for me cause I have an Xbox one x so it’s irrelevant for me but the other HDMI 2.1 features are self Explanatory

This Receiver has works with SONOS . I would like to connect my sonos amp so that I can play any sound output from the receiver eg am/fm radio or TV sound thru my sonos . Can you please advise

Hi - and yes, the receiver works with Sonos. But the receiver will be a playback device, not an input source. E.g. Once your unit is connected to the Sonos Connect you will be able to send any music or source on your Sonos App to the unit.

@@BJJandBS You would buy e.g. a Sonos Connect device to integrate your A/V receiver in our Sonos environment, enabling your AV to be addressed as a playback device in your Sonos app. The AV will act as an amplifier, outputting sound via the connected speakers.
