Yes, that's true - and a kind of "standard behaviour" of many devices as only one stream can be played simultaneously. But what behaviour would you like to see? The receiver automatically switching from the phone to the tablet? Or something different? (we'll be glad to forward your feedback to the engineers for evaluation...)
At least the av receiver allow to register multi device. For example i use a phone to stream mp3 song to the receiver then i stop sending music from my phone.i go back to a tapblet to sent mp3 song to the receiver.it will automatic detect the tabblet so i dont need to register to rhe receiver again.
I recently bought this receiver. HDMI went out so it doesn't work. Only 2 months old and they won't pay for the shipping to get it fixed. Also, they should send me a new one and I should be able to send it back but they tell me that's not how the warranty works. This is a faulty product and I wouldn't buy it if I were you. You may want to not buy any Onkyo product since they don't really support it if it breaks. I don't recommend buying this Onkyo receiver or any Onkyo branded device since they don't really support it.

Laser disc only have THX not 4k bluray,your onkyo got logo thx..marantz receiver n yamaha receiver didn't have it, Onkyo receiver hdmi too much problem..(I won't buy )
