FIRST LOOK: Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 and 12-24mm f/4 wideangle lenses 

I was there too and I must agree with you: it's difficult to review a lens on a scheduleld press-trip. I really like what you did and how you've explained the features and showed the images taken with the lens. I'm not a video reviewer, I'll be back with a more traditional blog post about the lenses. If you turn lens correction off in the camera, there is no correction in jpg and raw! You have to do this for each lens, because the camera remeber the lens and will turn off or on, it depends what your last setting was for each individual lens!

Very good run-through, with an especially nice rant in the middle! I never think about body size. Ruggedness, reliability and card slots...that's more relevant to me.

I'm thinking if this can eliminate the need of a macro lens when you're out on the trail. I like shooting landscapes as well as small things like flowers and insects and stuff.

What's the minimum focal distance? Is it good for nature and macro photography, like flowers? How's the bokeh look?

It's better than most reviews out there, considering it wasn't a review that's great! Again, quality watch.

Nice insight! Quick suggestion: use full manual exposure when doing video to avoid exposure from fluctuating. Also, u might wanna try manual focus one an object same distance from your final position to prevent focus shift as well.

Have you tried video and what about noise with AF ?

great initial impression , hope u can do review 16-35 2.8 for astrophotography. Is there any 'coma" , sharpness for milkyway shot at corner etc etc. This is potentially a winner all-in-one landscape lens.

What do you think about the newer 24-105 mm F 4.0

If I buy a Metabone adapter for my Nikon Prime lens, would that work well?

Would love one of those lenses but going need to rob a bank first.

16-35mm F2.8 is my goal!

I love the content/presentation, but what I DON'T like is the continuous exposure shifting.......

The thing about FE system is that, it can be really compact if you go with some compact primes like 35/2.8 or 28/2... and if you want the ultimate image quality you can mount an Otus on it. A DSLR can go big with the Otus but it can't shrink. BTW the review was a bit bland but your pictures were great! Much greater than the usual RU-vid review kind. Maybe spice up the production value a bit? Maybe talk about the lens on location while shooting, VLOG style.

I hate to say this but it was a very boring review, sorry. You should be outside shooting photos, making videos and then comment about the lenses. Kai and Lok have set the bar very high when it comes to review camera gear. Anyway, keep it up guys! Cheers
