Just in case anyone else is looking for this answers, you need to make sure the cable you are using is a DATA cable and not power only. This device is JUNK and constantly reboots , shuts down randomly just like older INseego models. No, there’s no software update for the firmware……. Just not a great solution for someone like me looking for a solution hat stays online and doesn’t constantly reboot. When it reboots, it wants you to push the power button and that’s not possible since I have tech remotely that I’m managing/monitoring.
@MobileInternetResourceCenter
We've not fielded many complaints about this unit like that - so it might be isolated to either your device (call Inseego for warranty support) or poor signal conditions at your location. For remote management however we recommend routers, not hotspots for this reason. www.rvmobileinternet.com/routers

I have one (VZ); looking for another solution. If I'm right next to a tower I can reliable stream out 1080 at 3000 kbps. The trouble is that 5G towers are few and far between and the signal is not robust. There is also no way to program it to use 4G LTE if you know in advance that 5G will be iffy. I didn't know about routers when I bought it. If you need a reliable signal get something with an antenna.

Online data point shows inseego might have some issue with long hours plugged in. Some did mention after 16 hours plugged in it’ll go to battery preservation mode, which keeps the battery at 50-60% level. Could be inconvenient for you, or not, depending on how you use it. If I leave it charging over night only to find the next day when I get out the device is 50% charged I would be pissed, so imo not a good news. That being said not much complain about it online so I wonder how that still works out for many. Not a clear answer at this point. I would very much hope owners can shed some light
