Nice video, bought my TS 242XD a few months ago and now need my first oil change. I love cutting with this mower, best machine I've ever had.

Best tractor I have had, of course it is also the most expensive.

If you want the flow to go a little faster, unscrew the oil fill cap, works with cars as well and if you want to be anal like me you can put the machine on an angle to get every drop out . Peace my brother ! oh ya getting her up to temperature helps as well, I can keep going with this .

Did you know that a long time ago Sears made an electric lawn tractor? I think they have a loyal fanbase online somewhere.

I have never heard of or seen a Sears electric tractor.

Interesting vid. Think Husqvarna and other manufacturers make a fully automatic robotic self mower, bit like a robot vacuum cleaner. Electric, probably none or very little maintenance, self charging etc.. No need to bake in the sun while mowing the grass. Really enjoyed the live stream with Marty, look forward to next vids, thanks.

Yes I have seen the robomowers. Believe me I have considered them but with the size and terrain in my yard I don't think they would be very effective.

I looked at the robomower it is very cool but need to bury a wire and there is a new model coming out that can learn the terrain. But I would still need something for leaves way to many to mulch all of them. I actually think the LiON full size mowers will take over soon, once the price comes down a bit and the quality goes up a bit. Little maintenance and makes sense for most people IMHO.

I am about to buy a Husqvarna TS 242XD, need the locking diff for a hill. Do you still like yours and major problems I have read that the frames fall apart not sure if it was just a few with the issue.
@Duf

Still love mine. Frames fall apart? In what way? Rust? Broken welds?
@davidraymond8994
@davidraymond8994 3 года назад
@@Duf they are supposed to bend and twist on uneven terrain. This might be the case if you start to notice the cut is uneven based on what I have read. I have also read of broken welds but that doesn't seem to be the main issue.

Does it have a "low oil shutdown" feature?

Great videos ! Would you still recommend this mower. I’m torn between This and the John Deere x350. The husqvarna is about $600.00 more dollars though. Any problems or complaints with it ? Thank you 🙏

Looked quickly at the X350. The one think that jumped out at me was the lack of a fabricated deck. In my experience stamp decks fall apart, always. The Husqvarna has been great so far outside of a couple small things. I plan to do a follow up video on it shortly.

Just bought the TS242XD. In upstate New York, the x350 is going for $3400 while the TS242XD is selling for $2800. Both have the same Kawasaki engine. The JD does have a 4yr vs 3yr for the Husky, but has a stamped deck. They both have the K46 transaxle but the Husky has an automatic locker whereas the Deere does not.

@@curemeister7443 my dad has this model husky he bought in 02. Never had a single problem out of it still has the OEM spark plug in it lol I just recently bought a 2021 husky ts242xd. I looked at the JD it was okay. The husky has the fabricated deck and cast iron control arms which is a great upgrade from the JD. Also the husky doesn't have a button you have to press everytime you back up. Just turn the key one click back and your good to go. Honestly I dont think either is a bad choice as long as its powered by the Kawasaki engine and not a Briggs or a kholer.

@@andrewbooher1106 Kohler 7000 Series is a very good engine. Kohler Courage, not so much.
