Gobleki Tepe sometimes strikes me as an ancient Zen type garden. I mean who knows what kind of plants and/ or animals might have be incorporated into what we are interpreting as a temple.
I think one of the big questions we should be asking about this place is why did they go to a lot of trouble to bury it? It’s great they did and now it’s preserved but why ?

It is a common thread in Archeology for any object that's use and meaning is not immediately obvious is usually call a cult or sacred object. Fascinating but you have missed one very important thing.... the figure between the pillars is holding something like rod or club or scepter. It is not the perspective view of the pillar base. They didn’t draw a perspective anywhere else it must be something in his hand.
