As far as I know, there’s no effects on his voice as far as pitch goes. He does the same thing live. He has a few cell phone videos of him sitting on his couch screaming that low. It’s crazy

That part where he literally turns into what ever comes after lucifer in the devil scale. You can find Alex Terrible posting on instagram clips of him doing almost exact same kind of low screams on his phone in a bathroom. Sure there's some effect since it's a studio song, but he doesn't need any to make that sound which is insane. The man has a hollow chest built to make the gnarliest sounds.

Although i couldn't hear the lyrics throughout all the times i've listened to this song, its still an absolute banger. the power behind it is insane. and from what i've seen/heard, Alex (the singer) does that all on his own, even if there are a couple effects over this particular song but there is a instagram video where he does it in his bathroom with no layering. hes insane. I don't follow the band itself but i still have such an appreciation for how heavy they go. great video!

The lead singer doesn't have any effects on his voice. I was shocked when I heard for the first time as well. When you look at their LIVE performances it's all him and he even does the "DEMOLISHER" without the mic. His voice is powerful enough for you to hear him. Alex Terrible is a maniac. I'm going to be honest with you Chase. I've seen probably 30 different people react to this song. In fact I've seen ALOT of reaction videos in general. You are, by far, the best music reactor on RU-vid right now. Your input is all very solid and very educated, I can tell that you are in the music industry out you were at one point. Also I'm assuming you are a drummer. I loved how you would pause it as you go because you are articulating your present thoughts, and that is very important in a reaction video. I also loved how you ended there video, very positive and uplifting. Keep on doing reaction videos man!

Good on you for pointing out the musicianship and the skill of the artists, man. I see a lot of people who aren't super into this kind of music and write it off as just noise, but you really did a great job defending its merits, even if it isn't exactly your taste. Respect. Recommendations (forgive me if you've done any of these already): For heavy stuff like this, I'd recommend Crystal Lake's "Aeon", Shrine of Malice's "Kiss of the Wind", and/or Shadow of Intent's "The Tartarus Impalement" OR (since the prior is an 8 minute song) "The Heretic Prevails" For less heavy, non-metal kinda stuff, I'd recommend Days N' Daze's "My Darling Dopamine" which is punk + bluegrass or Wind Walkers' "New England Palm Trees" which is more traditional metalcore/post-hardcore. Keep up the good work!

I like that your reaction actually is a reaction and that you give your opinion and stuff. Compared to other channels that basically just look at the clip, say „wow that was amazing” at the end and that’s pretty much the end of the video. Nice job mate EDIT: As far as I know there are no effects on the vocals before the brake down. If you have a look at Alex terrible yt channel you can clearly see him doin stuff like that recorded just with his phone. I highly recommend you check it out cuz his vocal skills are damn amazing (only his growls though, he’s not all that good at clean vocals)

I havent read all the comments so im not sure if anyone has said this or not yet, but as someone who likes this kind of music I really appreciate that even though its not your cup of tea you sat down and gave this a real listen. You didn't dismiss it part way through or just say oh its just heavy. You listened to the whole thing, like listened to the musicianship and tried to understand what they were trying to convey and I for one really appreciate that. I really enjoy your reviews because you pick up on a lot of things other reaction channels tend to miss and not only that but you point them out and talk about them. Keep up the great work and I'll definitely be tuning in for the next one! (As a side note in your own time, if you would like, there is a RU-vid video of their drummer playing through this without vocals and if you go to Alex Terrible's RU-vid who is the vocalist you can actually find clips of him screaming this stuff. I cant fully say whether he used modulation or not on that but I know from hearing his raw tracks he very well may have been able to pull that off)

Nice reaction. If you're willing to react to more extreme forms of metal you should def check out Dir en grey simply for Kyo's absolutely ridiculous singing and screaming talent on top of the very moody, expressive instrumentals. I'd consider their most popular video of Macabre live to be their magnum opus. Kyo's singing and crazy screaming techniques are completely mind-blowing and while the band doesn't play very technical pieces, they're extremely tight live and create a great atmosphere and story for the vocals to drive the song with.

His vocals may be slightly modified for the recording but hearing and watching Alex terrible straight up take the mic away from his face live and the fact you could barely tell that was him acoustic.... I mean damn, that wall of death broke out and I didn't even realize I was right at the wall of it just flabbergasted that anyone could do a gutteroll that fucking loud and deep. From what i understand that is his voice on that last breakdown . If u go to his youtube page he doe a lot of those deep growls . He is probably the best death core singer out there right now .

I’ve been a metal vocalist for about 6 years now and I can’t even do what he does in the breakdown. It’s not modulated either which is scary. He does it live as well
