This was a really good video. I'm starting some seeds and it's nice to hear from someone's perspective. You're right that there's not a lot of videos about repotting babies and this video nailed it. :) Thanks!

I ordered some lithop and haworthia seeds and I am so excited for the challenge of trying to get them to grow. Your videos have been super helpful in helping me to understand what I will need for my lithops to try and grow when they arrive.

I love your videos. I bought Echeverua Laui seeds from WallawallaStudio also. I planted them a few weeks ago before watching your video though. A few have sprouted. I’m hoping more do! Do you have an update video to planting seeds or tips on how to keep them growing? They’re only about a month old.

It would be very much appreciated if you could do a tutorial/explain your process. I actually found your channel while researching on how to properly grow succulents from seeds and I rarely ever find people who have consistently showed progress videos or photos on this subject. Many websites and other videos typically say the same thing but none of them really show what the end product of there method was. I have actually tried growing succulents by seed but I only had somewhat of a successful yield. I really enjoy all your videos, keep up the great work. 😊🌵

I found the same thing when I was trying to learn how to grow from seed. I think the challenge is that this is such a long and slow process that it is hard to make a video for that long of time frame, which I am guessing why there are so few videos out there on this now. I wish I would have done a better job actually documenting each step and when it occurred so I could put together a video now. Oh well, I will have to buy more seeds and see if I can't make a better tutorial.

I’m curious to know, after you re-pot your cactus seedlings, how often do you water them from the bottom? And how long do you let the bottom soak in water? Sorry for all the questions, I watched your video a few months ago when I potted my cactus seeds and I’m wanting to repot them! They’re thriving and getting big!! Thank you! I’ve always had an issue with over watering so I’m trying to avoid that and not kill these little guys :)

Nice, I just did this same thing yesterday! Including repotting the plants in my little pots because I didn't have any others available 😆. Those E. Cantes are so pretty! None of my cantes made it 😭

Ok so bare with me here... I don’t even know if it’s possible to grow from seed or how long it takes if you were to grow it from seed but you gotta check out Puya Berteroniana and Puya Alpestris. They are so gorgeous and it’s my dream to buy one of each and grow them and see them bloom in person. Probably pretty unlikely but it’d be amazing. Lol

excuse me, aunty. I wanna ask. how to water after germination? because almost all withers. And this is the second times i failed to grow from seed 😥😥
@microArc
@microArc 3 года назад
so, I've had success growing my seeds so far (2 months in) using a GE balanced grow light, some play sand+generic "cactus mix"+perlite, a few tiny pots with drainage holes, and sealable tupperware containers (plastic ziplock bags also work) make sure that the top of the container is clear so light can shine on the plants. i mixed a bowl of 2 parts sand, 2 parts cactus mix and 1 part perlite. put that mix in each pot, and set the pots in a tray of water until the water seeps up to the top of the soil in each pot. this is called "bottom watering". the soil should be damp after this. let the excess drain out. set your seeds on top of the watered soil. place the pots into the sealable container/bag. put them under the grow light. give them about 12-15 hours of light per day. succulents need some time in the dark in order to survive. (they are CAM plants if you want to know more) but they basically hold their breath during the day and let it out and take another breath at night to save water. if you do this, they will grow no problem. the inside of the container should form droplets and it should be humid inside. they should need very little water after that. (i just bottom watered them once at the end of their first month.) just open up the bag/container once a day to give them fresh air. they do best in 60-70 degrees F. sunlight and moisture will make them germinate. think of their natural semi-desert home. make that environment for them. i used this process to grow my first echeveria succulents in my closet in the dead of winter. they're absolutely thriving with this grow light.

I have repotted one of my succulent in the same pot.. & after that the succulent has started dropping it's healthy leaves. I have kept the plant in semi shade area now. Why is this happening & what could be the solution? My city is hot & humid ( India)
