More of my motorcycle video: • Suzuki Boulevard M109R
This video is getting lots of questions so I will list some info here. Feel free to ask anything if you don't find it here.
This was my first motorcycle. I had ridden a dirtbike on the farm a couple times as a kid and then the 250cc in motorcycle license class. This is the first time I pulled it out of the driveway. I had a friend drive it home for me when I bought it.
I'm 5'9", 155lbs. The bike has been lowered and has a Tricky Air Ride system.
Exhaust is Cobra 2 to 1.

i remember the dfirst ride of my boulevard . feeling the weight carefull om the throttle , no lean on the corners . two days later full gas and thrwing it into corners , great bike mate good choice

Reminds me of why I stopped riding 14 years ago and why I’m getting back into it now that my little girl is a self absorbed teenager. Kids are worth the sacrifice and cooler than the bike. Teenagers, not so much.

My advice to you, before moving the motorcycle, you must step on gasoline and hear the sound of the engine before you do not raise your hand from the clutch, because the engine does not turn off on you suddenly and cause you a disaster on the road. Thank you, I am from Saudi Arabia

Was this your first bike? I just finished the riding course! Looking to buy a bike. Dreaming of m109r however, many people told me to keep away from it as it is not a beginner’s bike! What do you think?

Yes it was! I only rode the 250cc in motorcycle class. I had already bought the M109R. It's totally doable! I'm a big car guy and grew up around streetrods and muscle cars. They call this a muscle bike! I'll admit I was scared, as you can see in this video, but within a few weeks and months I was confident! It's my daily driver when weather allows!

Hello Douglas i really loved your bike, I bought one M109 yesterday please can you share about where you bought your upgrades parts, I loved on each side this flaps and everything my M109 is 2013 with just 3.000 miles and completely original!

That was pretty much me after my M109R arrived. I spent 2 weeks staring at it in the garage and planning my maiden voyage up the road, including where to turn and come back. It was the weight that bothered me most. As soon as I started moving that was all forgotten, the weight just melts away and it’s actually very well balanced and easy to turn. Low speed manoeuvres are easy because even if you struggle to find the friction zone, it still pulls you along on tickover! And most important, most people will easily be able to flatfoot it both sides, and all the weight is very low down. 2000 miles later I’m loving it, there’s no other bike for me now.

How much does that thing weigh? Same story with my Honda 1300 if youre careful with the clutch. It's not so scary once you get some ride time but i was a bit uneasy at first.

Friend of mine bought one of these the first year the 109 came out. Nobody would ride with him because he kept doing stationary burnouts at stoplights and pelting those behind him with melted asphalt and rubber. Got rid of it due to too many tickets.

Not at all. He is wearing all the proper safety gear, took the class and is showing respect for the size and power of this machine, he will be just fine. I actually think its a good idea to start on the bike you want rather that get on some 250 or 400cc bike you are going to outgrow in a couple months.

Hi guys, to this discus.Yes I thìnk it's better to get some 250 and ride so much as you feel you can handle it so easy. But.... It's your decision.And when you feel OK with that then it's good. Be careful and watch some videos from McRider. There is a lot of info witch help us. BIKERS. PS:I makes the same decision and now I would be rather for some 250.... But I love my motorcycle, so go on ride. 👍

Don't know about that, been on a few rides with rookies on big bikes and it doesn't end well. Rookies seem scared to lean over a big bike, then they don't make the turn and run into something, first hand experience.
