Welcome back to ChriswithaC RC, folks! Today marks the thrilling debut of my long-awaited Kraton 6s EXB v2 RTR, and I couldn't be more stoked to share this moment with all of you. Massive thanks for joining me on this journey, from the initial unboxing right up to this electrifying first run!
After countless hours of anticipation and diligent saving, the moment had finally arrived to unleash the power of this 6s beast. With batteries charged and the truck primed for action, it was time to put it through its paces. And let me tell you, my friends, this truck surpassed all expectations and then some!
From its robust build to its impressive performance, every aspect of the Kraton 6s EXB v2 RTR felt like a dream come true. But, as with any maiden voyage, there were a few bumps along the road. Despite thorough checks, I encountered some unexpected issues with the wheel nuts. However, I'm chalking it up to first-time jitters and remain confident in this truck's capabilities.

One more thing, companies should consider partnering up with channels such as this. This is how the majority of surface RC consumers treat and run their products like this, kids who want to send their RC's "to the moon" dont pay for the products, and the majority of buyers dont drive like that and dont have RU-vid channels.

There was something enjoyable about using shoe goo and drywall mesh . Almost used a whole tube and it smelled a little bit still enjoyable .

I love the Arrma 6s line up. I have almost all of them. The Fireteam is my favorite. It's just a great all around rig. They are all. I think the Bigrock is the second best looking basher made. Was first until the Vigilante found my house magically, in a big brown truck... i don't have this truck mainly because i have both 8s exb models. I'm kinda a major Arrma fan boy with a minor in Redcat lately.

Ah man that’s awesome , haven’t tried the fireteam yet but a good friend of mine has one and done tons of upgrades to it , looks epic to be fair . And as for the big rock isn’t that the same as the fireteam ? Wow you have a Viglante ? Man now they look truly awesome , I’ve always said that I would not have a 8s truck but that’s swayed me loads , watched RC guy garages videos recently on it and man truly a beast and beautiful made . Definitely the best 6S RTR Basher out of the box. I’m not fond of the stock Copperhead tires and think they’re too big and clunky. I put some 6S Backflips on mine and drives so much better, in my opinion. Good content and a you got a new subscriber. #happybashing

Totally agree with you definitely the king of the 6s trucks for sure . Ah funny you say about the 6s backflips ive had a few say there much better . Hey dude ! , Ah man it hard to explain how much this trucks given me the fizz ! , Absolutely buzzing when i drove it way better than i originally expected thats for sure . Yeah Loctite is key by the looks of it ! , Also added some beefy wheel nuts not to it also . Yeah 2000 here we come , really grateful of each and everyone i mean way more than i ever expected . Sucks about the wheel nut I always say in my vids run a new rc for a few minutes then check the nuts the plastic compresses a bit after a time or 2 your set. I know you were excited to run it I dont blame you I need to run mine I miss it just been busy with all the new releases lately time to show some love to the other cars. Ohhhhh yes hell of a grin buddy thats for sure like a cheshire cat ! Man i can't explain how over the moon with this new truck ive bought ! Yeah as you say real shame that the wheel nuts came off , It seems to be bit of theme ive spoken to a few on the Arrma Forums and facebook groups and they all said the same . Odd thing is that i always check my NUTS ! ohhhhh errrrrr lol , Yeah i you heard it buddy . But genuinely i have OCD and this is something i always make sure is done . would love to see some more running footage of yours buddy and any plans for it ? Yeah i hear you on the new releases but lately im trying to just get the trucks that i really want to show and use myself , By the way i really like your sledge shame people have such poor opinions of them , i think there awesome . Cant wait to get this back out tomorrow and start getting a real feel for it , Maybe some Jumps hey . Keep up the awesome work brother . Chris :)

@ChriswithaCrc no plans for it except to enjoy it. For the most part I only get cars I want to use I do have a few cheaper cars I bought to experience for myself and to showcase you dont need to spend 6 7 800 to have fun in the hobby. Also trying to show there is more to the hobby then trying to use a car as a plane 😆 another channel put the sledge up against the Kagama and Kraton pretty said it was trash lots of comments supporting it I couldn't believe the hate for a good rc and I think I have proven I am no fanboy of any company lol. Keep up the great work you will be busting 2k soon!

I just got one of these last week and it is incredible. It’s only my third RC, but this completely blows away my brushless slash 4x4. I did break it already going full throttle straight into my 1:1 car, but any RC would break if you hit it like I did. Before my unfortunate accident, I took it off some crazy jumps, had terrible landings, and the rig was perfectly fine. If you’re a low to medium basher, I don’t think there’s a better RTR on the market. Only broke $60 worth of stuff and it’ll all be here Thursday, ordered Monday. I was worried about getting an arrma cause “muh part support” but then I realized I don’t live in 1976.

Firstly congratulations on your purchase buddy , Yeah as you say hitting a 1:1 will do it ! I can imagine the difference between this and the slash is massive , totally different levels of performance isn’t it . Yeah have to say never had an issue getting parts for a Arrma truck I mean let’s be honest Arrma and traxxas are the two main brands in the hobby now . Just got mine today, this video was a clincher to invest the cash. Man, this rig is so blinged out, that I'm afraid to even rip it LOL. Yes, in person it's that impressive. Only minor gripes, no rear skid plate, and no roof protection or wheelie bar, but understand why Horizon did this, give and take for the value they included.

Hey buddy I hear you , i got to say the K6 EXB is just that much more refined in my opinion , The kagama was so hard to control under full 6s power despite tuning , but on 4s it felt amazing . I mean it's all subjective and down to each person and case use . This EXB was so easy to control . Stay awesome Chris :)

I wonder if it’s the throttle trim / transmitter - I find the aarma transmitter much nicer to use and not quite as sensitive as the corally, also unable to turn down the max throttle on the corally transmitter also not great. Found the Kagama needed more punch from the esc so I have upped that slightly to help it rotate.

I use a futaba 3vc stick radio on all my cars , it has multiple adjustments, so does help with control of the car, I have the Kagama, Asuga and spark and they are awesome cars for the money 👍…. With Hobao very close 😊😊

That’s what mine sounds like . I thought it sounded squealy but the dude said that’s exactly what a good one sounds like and then he showed me how to check underneath for gear mesh with the motor pinion . Ever so slightly loose but not clicky . He said if it clicks when moving the gear cutout on the bottom of the chassis to stop driving and check the gear mesh . He also said that these kratons are super tough . I said them dudes are launching these things 20 -40 feet distance so they have to break sooner or later . He says they can take a beating . I said one wrong landing and it will break for sure , lol . Also , they’re supposed to be decent with a 4s battery ? I ll try 4s before 6s and try to take it easy

Everyone’s showing vids of this and I just got this monster in BLX v5 today . I thought the thing was huge tbh . Loud as heck but I m used to a smaller hbx 1/16 scale 16980sa rips and has been a lot of fun . I pulled this thing out and tried a 5200 3s battery and knew it would be slow a f but it’s all I have at the moment . I noticed it was still slightly peppy and feel theres more . The RC dude I got it from said it s a badass one and he offered me a really good deal . I just got it because it was there bnib looking all clean and I knew they were highly desireable . Still , she’s a big girl . Way bigger than what I’m used to . Taking it slow with this one so far . So this is version 6 ? 5 mph faster . I hope I got a good put together one , it seems so from the 5 minutes it tried it with 3 s .

Hey there buddy , Sounds like you got a deal thats for sure ! , Yes these 6s trucks are big ! , But when you get used to the size and the weight there hard to go back to smaller trucks as you keep wanting more of the brutal side of it . Beautiful, it looks beautiful! There is really something to envy, especially the sound and you can see that the car turns really well. As I wrote earlier, I watched all the videos with TLR Typbon and Kraton 4SV2.5 and I see huge acceleration accompanied by great sound that cannot be obtained with 4S... PS. If such a day comes and your free time coincides with dry weather, please take it with you TLR + KRATON 4S and KRATON 6S... and record 10 minutes for each of them, you always need a few minutes to feel the car. I'm curious how much the 6S will depart from the 4S. In your video with the 4S it was obviously wet and in the very corner the 4S "fights" with the surface, while in this video the 6S handles very well, but it is dry! One film in the same weather could show such differences or not. What am I getting at? Also, is the 4s a good "sweet spot" or the 6S a "must have" 😁

Hey buddy , thanks so much for the kind words and video inspiration that’s a awesome idea maybe the next running footage I’ll do K4 vs K6 and as you say 10 mins each time see how I feel what performance each one has and the caveats to each one hey ! 👋 As you say the sound and feel of the 6s is something to behold you know it’s what it is ! As for the k4 well that’s just crazy and fun but just has that little bit of panache missing if that makes sense . @@ChriswithaCrc haha love it mate. I can’t say you’re wrong, my trigger finger is like an on / off switch. All or nothing haha. Although , my next video ( out Friday ) will show that with the hobao round a track I can be pretty quick lol. Flat out off the big ramp is on though. K6 vs hyper ss cage vs asuga. Longest jump wins Haha.

Yea, i plan on cuttin in the wheel nuts on the first rip. I take a wrench and snug em during the rip but after that I never loose or have them get loose. I found 1 once that didn't have any serrations so who knows. I also use a longer handle for more leverage. Craftsman ratchet for the win! haha Yes, I agree rig really pushes the limits of whats possible from a RTR. Kagama simply isn't on the same level. Killer spot to rip at, looked like a blast!

Hey buddy , yeah got to agree with you and it’s the same for me I normally run them and then snug up . Only truck so far I’ve owned with non serrated wheel nuts funny enough was the Kagama ! The thing is I normally use a ratchet and socket but this time I used my wheel wrench and they came off , so now swapped the wheel nuts to some better made ones and added loctite and used a ratchet to leverage it down fingers crossed 🤞 Can’t wait to get it back out now , infact I have two packs charging as we speak . Hey Luke , no man it was a mistake on my behalf to be honest with you and damaged the hex . All sorted now after adding some blue loctite when tightening the wheels up dude . Stay awesome Chris 🤙🤘🚀💪

Yeah came home and dug in the parts bins and found a really nice set of wheel nuts for her and added a touch of loctite to keep them on . Loads more planned for it and summer is coming yippe ! I just added a kagama to my line up and I’ll be honest it felt heavy compared to my 4S outcast and I am a little disappointed it didn’t exceed expectations. Doesn’t handle quite as well either I think especially in the air, but I need to do some more testing and see how I get on with it, run it both 4/6S - servo keeps cutting out at times too.

Hey buddy , I hear you ! , I wanted to love it but it just didn't feel right to control . But ive played with 4s and geared up and changed some shock oil out and does feel alot better . but still not as controllable. As for the servo , well if you watch my first run of the Kagama yeah ! lets just say it didn't go well , But it is truly nice to see them making progress thats for sure . Stay awesome Chris :)

@@ChriswithaCrc hello mate since this the servo went but team corally were great on replacement, I’ve burnt a few more packs through it and it’s actually awesome. You may have seen me following beyondRC synchro 4 with it the other day. Must have been first impressions but since I am very happy, I think you should’ve thickened the diff fluid it seems to handle a bit better in the air - the stock controller I am swapping out as it’s not so nice but otherwise it’s great - build quality I am a fan of.

Great video I’m glad you like it I personally like the kagama more just from a fun factor stand point I was bashing my exb hard it took it but at the same time it’s so pretty and awesome hardware it sucks to scratch I think kagama for bashing/stunting exb for casual use small jumps idk I just think the kagama is more fun but I’m glad you enjoy yours they way you drove your exb in this video was perfect imo but to me I’d be to tempted to go ham with it so I haven’t really used my exb lol interesting how you say the kagama is great 4s truck I agree but I also like how on 6s it’s a maniac imo it’s versatile like I said all subjective and bottom line it’s blessing to own both can’t go wrong with either anyways Bro sorry for the long message lol

Hey there buddy , I hear you thats for sure , Very lucky to own both ! . Hmmmm i got to say myself i prefer the stability and since im not really one for throwing them in the air the EXB is the one for me . Im not knocking the Kagama at all , they both have there strengths . i Love both for different reasons , but as i said in this case i pick the EXB . Stay awesome Chris :)

That side of the truck will come loose because it’s working away from the threads. If the hub goes loose under power it will strip the plastic wheel out and then no matter how tight you get it it will come loose again! When that happens you need to replace the wheel! Hopefully that didn’t happen to yours! Looks like you got it under control! A tiny drop of locktite will help.

Hey buddy , yeah I hear you now thinking about it . Good news is I’ve added some different wheel nuts , used a socket and wrench and applied some loctite , ran it yesterday with no issues or problems at all . Did manage to break the wing mount but that was my driving and not the trucks fault lol 😂 Upgraded parts coming today thank god . Stay awesome , ChriswithaC 🤙🤘🚀

@@ChriswithaCrc awesome! I actually tore my hinge pin right out of my chassis on my 4s Kraton! I used superglue and baking soda to fix the plastic that broke and it seems to be holding! Unfortunately all the xlwb 4s chassis’s are sold out everywhere so I had no choice! Hey Michael buddy , Yes exactly that , The kagama works amazing on 4s and i feel that as soon as you put it on 6s its a very aggressive truck and loses that refinement, Were as the 6s EXB lays the power down allowing you to go flat out and really let her rip ! I had a whale of a time with the Kagama but its very daft on 6s and with the wheels in the air all the time you lose the connected feeling i get from the Kraton . The Kagama is more raw and in your face , we’re as this is more refined and lets you drive to the full of its power range with confidence and quite honestly that’s what I prefer . So EXB is the one I would go for but we’re all different hey ! I will say though the Kagama has the same sort of feeling on 4s . Stay awesome Chris

Have to say not impressed the wheel keeps coming off, for any new truck that would be unacceptable but for a truck at this price its a poor show. Anyway, other than that it looks like a very good truck, although from the running footage I can't really see a huge benefit over the Kraton 4s. (watching side by side videos) Of course watching the video we can't feel what its like to use, don't want to say Never but for now I don't really see the appeal of going 6s,, 3 and 4s are fast enough. I think that when you get a decent truck at 3 or 4s it becomes a case of diminishing returns. You can pick up and Arrma 3s for realy not much money and even the 4s for not too much more but the 6s is more than double the price of 3s (especially th EXB) which just raises too many questions. Just my opinion of course and I'm sure many will disagree which is ok. 😁

I Hear you buddy and yes i agree , Since posting this ive had a few comment with the same issue on facebook ! i think i was over the moon with the truck to let me dim my smile . As for the footage im planning loads more to put it to the test including some heavy bashing , Was part of the reason to be honest with you i purchased it , the 4s Kraton is a awesome truck but its got its limits , This will take some heavier landings that much i can assure you dude . As for the power its got its alot more on tap , got to remember this is looking well behaved as its running AVC and Limited slip centre diff , really does help with the handling , made me feel like i was in charge rather than holding on for dear life lol . Im not saying in any shape or form that the appeal of the 3s or 4s trucks is undeniable , I mean price to performance on the 4s trucks is superb . It's understandable that you're comparing it to the Kraton 4s, and it's true that sometimes the differences might not be immediately apparent from just watching videos. The appeal of 6s can vary depending on individual preferences and needs. While 3 and 4s might offer sufficient speed for many, some enthusiasts enjoy the extra power and performance that 6s provides. Sweet truck Chris! I think the extra weight on a big 6S model like this is part of the appeal. We know the 4S version is as quick etc etc but the torque and weight and size makes these 6S trucks feel so much more substantial. Plus they slide and have mass and serious weight!!! Great video 🎉

@@ChriswithaCrc I get your points, all very sensible. I guess the only way I can form a true opinion is to try driving a 6s further down the road. But for now I am happy with 3s and 4s, Really enjoying our corally Sketer 4s right now, very easy to drive, very durable, my 5 year old drives it no problem. 😆 Just a point regarding your running videos, you are in a beautiful part of the world, be nice if you could showcase your locaitions a bit during the summer. Where I live apart from the big local park its a bit harder to find new locations to have a bit of fun. Anyway, enjoying following your channel and your progression through the models, I picked your channel up after a Big Rock review (which I bought and we love) and here you are now with Kraton 6s EXB... The other model you have that really appeals tome is the Hobao SSTE. Keep it up fella, nice to see your channel growing..
