FACTS: The past 4 Olympics, the No. 1 draft pick has been selected for the team. THIS year, they suddenly changed criteria and moved the goalposts--to freeze out Caitlin Clark, Period. End of story. If you think for one second that people would NOT tune in at whatever time to watch a team featuring Caitlin, then you are delusional. People are hopping on planes, trains and automobiles to go watch Caitlin play her WNBA games. Her NCAA games blew away the mens games--evne Final Four and championship mens games. She has out-rated the NBA Finals. At LEAST 80% of all Fever AWAY game crowds are there for Caitlin and cheer more loudly for HER than for their home team. She is the only WNBA player ever--who has commanded that type of attention or had that amount of popularity. YES, she is the most popular female baller ever. Prove me wrong. And for Mad Dog to claim Caitlin cannot bring the ratings? OMG...if only we had record-breaking WNBA and NCAA ratings to cite....OH WAIT!

Diana Taurasi 2004: # 3 in scoring in the league Caitlin Clark #15 Candace Parker 2008 ROY and League MVP scored 34 points 12 rebounds and 8 assists in her first game Scored double figures in every game. Had 9 or more rebounds in her first 10 games 7 times. Breanna Stewart 2016 Led the league in rebounds and was #5 in scoring Caitlin Clark leads the league in turnovers (5.4 per game) One of these things is not like the others.

Olympic team is made up of NBA & WNBA players. If you honestly think that it’s not connected then you’re not understanding the point of marketing the professional leagues! Best players of said leagues represents their various countries! US Basketball is an extension of WNBA & NBA. If not then use other players from different leagues within the country. USA Basketball & NBA/WNBA are now pretty much intertwined now with the NBA/WNBA being the pool of talent that supplies USA Basketball.

I am a CC fan, and I wish her much success. I find it unfortunate that seemingly many of the people who dislike and even hate Caitlin are actually feeling that way for things she has never said or done. The media is responsible for creating pretty much all of the negativity. Caitlin never said that she was the greatest female college basketball player of all time. Caitlin has never said that she is or will be the rookie WNBA MVP. Vaitlin has never said that she is better than everyone else. Caitlin has never said that she will be the greatest WNBA player of all-time. When Caitlin found out that she wasn't selected for the Olympics, she didn't complain or whine. She handled it humbly and graciously. I cannot imagine how insanely hard it must be for her to be so intensely hated for things she has never done or said. Like it or not, her presence is a financial blessing for the WNBA and for the Olympics team, unless either chooses or both choose to alienate and dismiss her. They will do their best to limit all things Caitlin and when either she has had enough or the fans have had enough, they will all blame Clark in the end as well.
