First Time Ever Growing And Harvesting Sweet Potatoes! I Had Help! 

I just love your helper, he is the sweetest boy. Sweet potatoes looking so good!! I hope one day to be this successful in our own home growing of foods!

The sweet potatoes must cure in a warm, humid place for about 2 to 3 weeks in order for the starches to convert to sugar. Lay them out on the floor, single file on a sheet, canvas, or flat cardboard in a storage shed or someplace that gets up to 80 degrees with humidity. If you don't have that place available, you can place them in the oven with only the over light on, in a plastic bag with some holes in it. Do that for about two weeks, and it should work. You can still use your oven, just make sure to remove the bagged sweet potatoes out and put them back in when the oven has cooled back down. Make sure the oven light is on. I enjoyed your video. From what I have seen of dogs and gardeners….dogs seem to REALLY like potatoes. Dogs can eat sweet potatoes and they are good for them too. Congratulations on your harvest! Maybe next year you should put the potatoes in the front?
