Great reaction,this was in Nashville. Ilse and Douwe entered both the Eurovision songcontest. Ilse came second with Waylon (The Common Linnets.)

The guy playing the lap steel guitar is none other then country legend (and member of Alison Krauss & Union Station) Jerry Douglas. He has also played on some of Ilse's albums. This was part of a series called Ilse's Veranda (Ilse's Porch) which was partly shot at the house she owns in Nashville. In the series she took well known Dutch music colleagues and took them to Nashville to see how much country is in their own music. I think the series was pretty succesfull but it never got a second season.

Douwes Bob and Ilse Delange are again two marvelous Dutch singers. I saw Ilse a few times live, real magical.

The thing I love the most about this is that Ilse was a bit Ill and had a cold. And she still sings like this….

Just filled in a request for Calm after the storm. It is done by Ilse (Say Ilsa) de Lange and Waylon (yes, him again) as The Common Linnets in the Eurovision Song Contest of 2014. They were the runner ups, but the common opinion is that they were robbed from the first place.
