Agree 100%! With the 3 major a cappella groups (Home Free, Pentatonix, and VoicePlay) there's always A LOT going on. The only way you can hear and enjoy the subtleties is with a good set of headphones (each.) Try listening to this again with a good set of "cans" and you'll pick up things you missed the first time.

Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. There is not a permanent lead singer in Home Free, but they look (listen) at every song whose voice suits it best. The best harmony, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). .. This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing. Take the time to discover Home Free because it will be a great tour. For me they are number 1 A-Cappella group
@EarlJohn61
@EarlJohn61 Год назад
Respectfully, I'd disagree with this... Home Free don't have *A* lead singer, they have *FOUR* They could have five, but Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, prefers to remain as the background specialist.
@JoanN63

@@EarlJohn61 Sorry if I made it a bit unclear, but that's what I actually mean. 😊 That there is not a permanent lead singer, but see (or actually listen) which voice fits the song best. I also mentioned earlier that all five of them can sing (see beginning of comment). But I'll correct it a bit😉

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

Great reaction!! The group started in 2001 by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp They are the only country Aappella group but they can honestly sing any genre and they do They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular. Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries and are very loyal to the guys. Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire -Tenor can make any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonicia (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc). Co founder from Mankato Minnesota. Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) very soulful voice from Minneapolis,Minnesota Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas Austin.Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair ) voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia. Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass deep,rich voice(Does the juice harp in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder)in 2016 There is no lead singer they each sing the song ( except Adam the beatboxer) to see who’s voice or voices suits it the best. Adam can sing but he prefers beatboxing to hear him sing listen to How Great Thou Art or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sm1xhYZiSrM.html They have collaborated with many great singers and legends Don McLean:American Pie Oak Ridge Boys:Elvira Kenny Rodgers:Children Go Where I Send Thee Billy Gilman:One Voice Alabama:Christmas In Dixie Lee Greenwood/ The United States Air Force Band :God Bless The USA Any many more. They have a very large playlist of covers and Original songs End of the Road: Boyz 2 Men cover When A Loves A Woman Road Sweet Road (original) Dive Bar Saints (Original) Helplessly Hoping (5 part harmony) Listen To The Music Mayday(DON’T WATCH TILL YOU ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUP AND THEIR RANGES ) There's not a song that you pick from their 155 + catalog that is bad I haven't found one yet. There are three main A cappella groups today. The first is Pentatonix. They tend to be more Euro Pop, R&B, pop music. The next is Home Free. They tend to be country, R&B, and pop. Two of their singers also did a version of Nessun Dorma, an opera song which totally blew opera singers away with how good it was. The third group is VoicePlay. They are Disney production group that sings in front of live audiences at Disney. They tend to be More show oriented music. Up-and-coming the bass gang. A group of young Basinger’s who are absolutely phenomenal. The Basinger in this vid is Tim Faust Who has been known to blow subwoofers at live concerts!

Home Free leans toward country, but they can and do sing all genres. Man of Constant Sorrow is a good introduction to the group. They have the ability to make you laugh. They don't take themselves too seriously in that they are very down-to-earth guys. The guys all enjoy each other's company and have fun in what they do. They also can make you tear up, have goosebumps, and inspire you. They are all extremely talented and dedicated artists. Humorous songs, Buttz Remix, Thank God I'm a Country, Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget, Honey I'm Good, Hillbilly Bone, Country Fried Pop, Working for a Living, It's All About the Bass, Songs that didn't make the cut (live performance), Nine to Five, Brother, Between a Rock and a Heartache, Zombies vs. Hillbillies with Voiceplay Other Songs: How Great Thou Art, Brothers in Arms, Hopelessly Hoping, The Driver, Listen to the Music When a Man Loves a Woman, Nessum Dorma (opera aria with Rob and Austin), Mayday, Ring of Fire with Avi Kapl They have nearly two hundred videos, including collaborations with extremely well-known artists, as well not so well-known artists. Other commenters no doubt will recommend more of their vast body of work. All of their work is stellar, no matter the material. There is even a drum solo with Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, which displays his extraordinary skills.,

The guy who opened and closed the song was Adam Chance. He sang bass for his previous vocal group. Tim was the bass singer on the verses. It's a plus to have 2 bass singers in the same group. Home Free does great covers, such as Listen to the Music and Take Me Home Country Roads. They do an instrumental interlude for Can't Stop the Feeling. All but the beatboxer Adam Rupp take the lead vocals from time to time (although he does a brief lead part on How Great Thou Art).

I truly enjoyed both your reactions to this video. It seemed to me, honest and quite enthusiastic. Bravo! I'm going to go out on a limb here and welcome the two of you, to the family of 'Home Fries!' Many make the mistake of attempting to compare one singer/group to another - how would this even be possible. Much like apples to oranges - both great fruits in their own right, but, uniquely different, with distinctive characteristics to enjoy. We all have different tastes and genres of music which we personally and subjectively prefer... It is my humble opinion that y'all will enjoy the enormous talent which Home Free brings to our ears. They are a fun-loving group of guys who aren't afraid to tackle any genre and are probably the first in line to laugh at themselves for our entertainment. Adam Rupp, the ultra-talented Beat-Boxer, has been aptly described as a literal 'Freak of Nature! Check out his drum solo videos. Adam Chance (Baritone) - Rob Lundquist (Tenor) - Austin Brown (high tenor with a very clear and limitless high tenor range) - Tim Faust (The Sub-Woofer destroyer who truly does posses a 5 octave range. I won't bore you with suggestions, which will allow you to discover and enjoy their offerings. Each and everyone of them are good enough vocalists to be successful on their own, however, they do sound heavenly together. Their covers, sometimes, outshines (technically) the originals. Adam Rupp is the beatboxer with other skills. Other Adam Chance shares bass with Tim. Rob Lundquist is other Tenor. HF collaborated with their idols: Oak Ridge Boys on Boys' Elvira. They also collaborated with their friends and former competitors of Sing Off, Voiceplay on some songs. Speaking of Voiceplay, they are as good as Home Free. Their Bass singer, Geoff Castellucci, former performer for Disney World has his own RU-vid channel: Geoff Castellucci. His channel has a lot of Geoff's covers of songs.

Best a capella group out there. Lots of videos on their channel to choose from. Can't go wrong with any of them, but I would suggest The Driver (good opportunjty to hear each of them highlighted), How Great Thou Art (master class in 5 part harmony) or Listen to the Music (which really highlights the vocal percussionist). Happy listening.

Welcome to the world that is Home Free, don't be afraid to jump on into the rabbit hole with both feet. You only have 200 more song to choose from and you will not be disappointed by anything. If you want your channel to skyrocket keep reacting to this amazing group. There are going to be tons of songs thrown at you, different genres, covers, ballets, and original songs. May I suggest Home Free "When a Man Loves a Woman." Hold onto your girls hand or Austin will steal her away. Great reaction here and a new subscriber.

Country? Yes, and plenty of other stuff as well. Rob and Austin, the two tenors featured in this one, recently did Nessum Dorma, an operatic piece, together, I think it was called something like "2 country singers try to sing opera". The group also recorded American Pie with special guest, Don McLean. They are excellent.

The best acapella because of the ability of beatboxer and the best bass singer in the world. He has a 5 octave vocal range! Watch out for this rabbit hole, you may never return.

Tim Foust, the bass, is a freak of nature, posessing a 5 octave range. Note how, after his solo verse, he drops a full octave to sing the chorus. During live performances, the beat boxer uses a loop recording so he can also perform the harmonica parts.

I want to mention some Home Free numbers that don't get recommended enough. Some of their videos are a medley/mixture of songs done in a temporary studio, like The Butts Medley/Remix and the Country Fried Pop Medley. They also have a lot of videos that are taken from live concerts, many times filmed from the audience and posted by fans. Some of these actually have 2nd, 3rd, or 4th versions that are slightly different because of the changing venue and audience, so you have to go searching a bit more. Guilty Pleasures is a good example of this. Your first search will bring up the one where they lost it into giggles and went off script. Their first "Drum Solo" was 2015 or 2016 and is amazing, but the ones from 2020 to 2022 show how much Adam has improved. At 28 minutes, Home Free Concert Morrison, IL 8/19/15 may be a little long for a reaction video but it has some great numbers, highlights how close the guys are with their fans, and surprises everyone with how low Tim's bass can go. There are several videos of the group covering Your Man but this is by far my favorite.

Homefree are the guys you would meet at a tailgate, Pentatonix or PTX for short, they would be considered the student council, and last but not least, you have voice play, better known as the theater kids of acapella Welcome to the rabbit hole they call acapella music It is a deep delicious journey down that hole You will be stunned by the variation in style and also singers., But it's worth every second. Voiceplay has Geoff castellucci, who can literally blow your doors off with his subharmonics There is not a bad song in the bunch . Pentatonix won their first of three Grammys, doing a acapella mix called Get Lucky which they recorded using one of their members kitchen and closet, as the recording space, it's worth the watch and listen

Dave here. Get ready. You have entered one of the neatest rabbit holes ever. You like Austin's voice, listen to him featured in When a Man Loves A Woman and his individual effort on Les Mes song, Bring Him Home. They do country but also, rock blues, opera and lots in=between. Best arrrangements are Do YOu Hear What I Hear and Mayday. Best harmony-all but maybe more on Brothers in Arms. Mny funny videos - I like Brother. And a few faves: any of Tim Faust Doo Wop (start with Stay) or HF ONe Man Band or Broken Road. All amazing, and wonderful live. Enjoy.

Home Free are great, really great. They are the "Country kids" of the a cappella, although they can, and do, sing pretty much every genre. Two of them, Rob Lundquist and Austin Brown, have a video (on Austin's channel) titled "Two Country singers try to sing Opera"... Check it out, and you'll see what I mean. 😁 Their beatboxer is one of the best around, and the whole group have extraordinary skills. 🙂 Their bass, Tim Foust, has an ENORMOUS range... Which you can appreciate in his collaboration with another a cappella group, widely underrated IMHO, called "The Bass Gang". The video is titled "Hooked on a feeling", and I'd advise you to watch it, also to get in contact with another, and completely unique, a cappella group. 🙂 You already know Pentatonix. 😁 So, to complete the a cappella landscape, the only other group (beside The Bass Gang) that's been left out is Voiceplay, which BTW were in the same season of "Sing Off" with Home Free (HF won the season), although it wasn't exactly their vibe. The two groups are friends since, and Tim and VP's bass, Geoff Castellucci, shared some techniques tips. The two groups even have a video together, showing their sense of humour. Not the best video musically, but it's fun 😁. Voiceplay are nicked "The theater kids of a cappella", and you'll see why watching their stuff... 🙂 If you want to check out Voiceplay, I'd suggest one of their most recent videos, Metallica's "Nothing else matters" cover. Or any other one in their catalogue. 🙂 As you may have noticed, I don't compare any of the four with any of the others. They're ALL extremely skilled, they're just different, each one has its plus and its minus, can be more or less "resonating" with you, they have their own style, one can like one more than the others, or appreciate them all for what they have to give. I love them all. 🙂 See you next time.
