Such an amazing performance. Love it so much. I have seen it countless times and it never gets boring. Their is a prestage interview which gives a little more context why he performed this song this way. His parents separated when he was very, very young. 2 or 3 years old I think. He grew up by his father which always was away for work. He have had nannys of course but rejected them. He felt like : If he can't get love from the people he has to trust the most ( his parents) how can he receive love from others? So he was in a cylcle of wanted to be loved but rejecting it at the same time. He said it was very painful for him. Also to rearrange this song was painful because he had to go back to his dark memories of the past to do so. He hoped to make people aware of people like that. That the people will reach out to them because he knows that deep in their hearts they need love. He thought he will get the last place that day with this performance. Because everybody told him to not perform it that way. But he didn't cared and performed it the way he thought is the best. And it turned out to be the second place.😉🤩 He was really surprised. Hua Hua is really amazing. So happy I found him a few years ago. I am so happy to be a martian 🥰.

I wish I could go back to time I'd heard this song for the first time, over and over again. It was a thrilling, mind blowing experience. To this day, it still gives me goosebumps. The most haunting song/performance ever. This is the song that introduced me Hua Chenyu. I call him The Chinese Mozart. He has many haunting songs like this.
Mesmerising performance. I think Hua caught in his simple lyrics, the essence of today's ambitions on human life. Be constantly alone and on the move, always the center of attention and admiration but never truly known, enjoying only happy times of every interaction but never their sorrows. As if we ever could, to enjoy you need to suffer, how much, is your only choice in life. PS: This song is a refined edition of his audition in "Super Boy" 2013 which stunned the judges.
He wrote the song he used for his Superboy audition; this is a Cui Jian song. In other words, they aren't the same song, though clearly he used a lot of the same elements in the arrangement. I agree that they sure sound a lot alike. Don't know why I felt compelled to tell you this. Just mouthy I guess.
For those new to "Hua Hua" he is a prolific Composer/music arranger, multi instrumentalist. He does every genre you can think of.. Rock/Metal, Rap, Reggae, Ballads, Pop, SynthPop, Accoustic, Broadway, Traditional Chinese and every other genre you can think of. He embodies the persona of the song and.. PERFORMS from THAT persona. He is Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, George Michael, Axel Rose, Matt Bellamy, Thom Yorke, Prince rolled in one person. He is simply the best PERFORMER on the Planet, and most in the West aren't even aware of him.

His Concerts are wonderful and they are on RU-vid with English Subtitles. If you tell "Martians" (Hua Hua fans😂... you'll find out why) what genres you like, they'll suggest performances. There are literally hundreds as he has also appeared on many Entertainment shows as a Judge/Mentor, or even in a show (Ace v Ace) where he not only sang, acted, and discussed his life. but competed in games for the Host Team... Great fun. If you you are interested in WHO Hua Hua is, suggest you watch Singer 2018 in order, as he told his life in order (starting with Qi Tien... and ending with "I am what I am"). There is a story arc. His latest Concert (Mars 2021) is a feast for the eyes and ears). If you are new to him, you are in for an amazing journey. 🤗

Wow such a beautiful song! And his voice is enchanting! Some parts of the lyrics hit deep, because a few days ago my girlfriend and I broke up after 6 years. Yes, just so sad the Official version of this performance has been taken down, as it was just so superbly filmed, to build the pathos. It broke so many big, hulking male Reactors as it was perfection in performance and filming. Just grateful we have this fan cam. Otherwise the performance would be lost to non Chinese speakers.
Hi, may I suggest reacting to Zhou Shen..another fine Chinese singer with the song 'ring my doorbell". I dare say that song has some interesting lyrics psychologically speaking. And Zhou Shen does a masterful job conveying the emotions. ( the mango tv single version does not have English subs but the Hunan tv show full episode does. the title of the video is " [English sub] Singer 2020 EP 10..."
