First time hearing Jeff Healey- "As The Years Go Passing By" *REACTION* 

The way he sings and plays...you never would have known he is blind...

Jeff Healey is a Legend!!! Yes, Jeff is Blind. He lost his eyesight at one year old (cancer). He left us way too soon!! Such an Awesome gift that was shared with the world. His incredible voice and incredible talent as a musician will always be remembered. RIP Jeff!

He went blind as a child due to cancer of the eyes. At school he was given a guitar tried playing normal but found he liked it better on his lap. Cancer returned and he passed away at 41. He and Stevie Ray were friends.

Spent the 90's living in Toronto. Managed to catch him live several times at Grossman's on Jam Night or at his bar. Truly gifted musician.

Jeff's live version of See The Light and his duet with SRV- Look at Little Sister are also fantastic. He was a Canadian legend who passed far too early (41) due to cancer.

Yes he was blind at a very very young age. I was heartbroken when he passed away..

Miss Jeff Healey. So much Talent and Skill. So very very underrated and over looked in conversations of great guitarist. He belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. RIP JEFF. A TRUE TITAN.

Jeff lost his sight to cancer of the eye and his dad gave him his first guitar at 3. The cancer returned when he was 41 and he passed. I am so glad I saw him live..Talent personified one of the most under rated jazz guitarists of our time.

Met him in Atlanta in '99 or '00 at Midtown Music Fest. He was a really nice guy!

Jeff Healey lost his eyesight to cancer when he was only 8 months old & when he turned 3 his parents got him a youth size gutair & he started to learn how to play on his own & he was considered a musical prodigy & believe it or not . Their were about 3 or 4 record companies that passed up on singing him to a music contract . R.I.P. Jeff Healey .

It's always best when people react to Jeff for the first time, judging him as a guitar player and as a singer and then finding out. Otherwise, he gets judged as a blind man. Better this way.
