Joe changes the people in his band every so often. The two other backup singers also had their own musical aspirations. Joe has had some very talented people in his band. He always seems to find more people when others leave. This was a great song!

Terrific review 😊. I only discovered Joe B via Jimmy and Mahalia Barnes. Joe is now one of my favourite guitarists. All Jimmy’s children sing or play musical instrument and now Jimmy’s grandchildren have started . And we definitely can’t leave out Jimmy’s wonderful wife Jane, Very beautiful talented family.

Your really should check out some of Jimmy's work, either with Cold Chisel, in duets or as a soloist...its all good & it explains why Mahalia can sing like she does...she grew up listening & singing with her dad (rock, soul, blues, pop)...plus just god given talent.

The lady singing here is Mihalia Barnes, and she is absolute blues royalty. Plus, separately, she and the other two ladies make up a really powerful vocal group as well. Her dad is Jimmy Barnes. And he's done a lot of work with Joe. Just good music.

Mahalia Barnes dad (Jimmy Barnes) named her After Legendary Mahalia Jackson, who was a big influence in his life, as well as Tina Turner. Jimmy actually got the opportunity to sing Simply the Best with his idol Tina Turner if you would like to check that out. Getting back to Joe he also has collaborated with Jimmy a couple of times. Mahalia has a well paid career as one of Joe’s back up singers..... and a recording studio there if she wants to do her own thing in her own time..... plus a first class band and legendary guitar player on stand by if needed. Remember...... radio and record label suits don’t care about talent or if a song is good...... they wouldn’t know anyway. If the label won’t let you do it YOUR way and the radio don’t play it....... you don’t make any money. That’s why the best musicians work as session muso’s, not as part of a pop or rock band. lol
