The article that I've seen a couple of years ago said Jimmy who is the goat And the song was written for his wife was what I understood And yes I need a Jimmy's son played the drums in this song I did not know that his daughter was singing back up though Who I think is a fantastic singer that was kicked off the voice way too early

As you love this one so much I highly recommend an album Jimmy did of soul blues classics back in the day called Soul Deeper! It is magical his vocals with that inimitable grit and growl just brings every track to life. Prefect for a chill laid back arvo.😂❤

Jimmy Barnes' son on drums and daughter (Mahalia) is one of the backing vocalists. Mahalia is a backing singer also for Joe Bonnamassa's band. She has a magnificent voice in her own right, Check out "Riding with the Kings". Cheers from Australia.

Jimmy has had such a diverse 50 years in the business starting out as frontman for the iconic Australian band Cold Chisel a world class rock blues band that unfortunately the world never got to experience. Had a successful solo career from the late eighties until this day and is still so relevant. His children are all very talented singers with Mahalia singing as a backup artist to Joe Bonamassa and her duet with him on Riding with the Kings is amazing. Also Joe, Mahalia and Jimmy collaborated on the powerhouse Walking Up The Road.

Thank you so much. This is one of those songs that just hits the heart. I love to watch reaction videos to it because it is such a powerful song. I watched one a couple of days ago and the guy watched it all the way through with hardly a muscle move in his face and then closed off comments by acknowledging it was good. It left me crushed. How can you listen to this and not be moved in your soul? So I was nervous when I saw you guys watching it because I love your reactions. You did not let me down. Your reaction restored my faith in humanity. I was smiling like a giddy school girl by the time I was finished watching. Awesome job - genuine reaction.

I saw Jimmy last year on his Soul Deep tour and he’s still singing like this. I’ve been a huge Jimmy fan since I saw him in the mid-80’s on his Working Class Man tour. Check out some of his old stuff too. He’s an absolute legend!

First there was Stevie Ray Vaughn that blew me away and whom I was addicted to hearing play. I thought his death was the end of master level blues guitar playing. Then Joe came along and blew me away. It just so happened that Stevie is one of Joe’s idles.

As Andy all ready stated, you have reacted to Jimmy Barnes in his younger days, 1983 “ Wild Thing”..... the feral who joins the audience, almost has his shirt ripped off then almost has a fight while singing...... and then stumbles back on stage for a brilliant finale with guitarist / vocalist Ian Moss..... you also reacted to them doing Bow River with Ian Moss on lead vocals and Jimmy doing all the back up vocals, including the “ female” high backing at the start. lol Do yourselves a favour...... react to Jimmy’s bluesy soul duet with John Farnham, a cover of Sam n Dave’s When Something Is Wrong with My Baby..... live of course. I had the pleasure of seeing Jimmy Barnes some years ago at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. The guy was incredible. Made it better as Australia were playing England at cricket in the UK and half the audience were Ozzy nutters. You should check out Good Times with Keith Urban from the same passion as this song. So cool that Jimmy’s son Jackie is on drums and way back when ‘Stone Cold’ was released in the ‘90s, Jackie was in the video clip when he was about 6 years old. If you haven’t seen him in action you definitely should, Jackie is an absolute powerhouse on the drums and a talented pianist. Music is definitely ingrained in the Barnes family 🥁 🎶

Another great australian artist and has been doing it for over 50 years. I grew up with jimmy and john farnham two greatest of all times singers i might be a bit bias but you only have to listen and hear their range and with joe on the guitar just brilliant, and the horns are just the gravy on top 👍😎😃🇭🇲🦘

And yet Joe Bonnamassa doesnt like his own playing.. Drums by Jims son, Jackie, and backing vox by his 2 daughters.. I get goosebumps every time I hear that bridge.. and THAT lead solo.. Its funny coz Jims from my hometown of Adelaide, but I can still hear the slight Scottish accent in his voice (he was born in Scotland) as my family were Scot (from the same area)
