FIRST TIME HEARING - Liliac - Crazy Train (BRITS REACTION!) 

I have been following this group for a couple / three years and have found they make fantastic covers and originals. It has been a joy watching them grow. Keep checking out their music, you will not be disappointed.

This was performed when the singer Melody was 16 . Liliac is renowned for their tribute covers and originals all over the world . Their fans known as fangs numbering in the millions worldwide . They are a fiercely independent band managed and produced by their father known as papa Liliac . Its true they were asked to sign a contract which would have ripped them off , consequently they make all their own videos and distribute all their merchandise and music themselves . The reason these kids didn’t sign that contract with the AGT is because they know they’re good and they know they’re going places. Screw Simon Cowell and they’re 99%. Good for them these guys got tons of songs originals and covers the covers are amazing. These kids are unbelievable

Liliac are awesome! They have some great original songs too, my current favourite being “On My Way To Mars”, there’s a great live version on Liliac’s RU-vid channel and Abigail (drums) is hilarious as she seemingly tries to upstage her sister, Melody, during Melody’s solo ;) Sisterly love :))

Couple of things, Crazy Train was Ozzy Osbourne only from his Blizzard of Ozz album, and Listen to Liliac play Mars live with Melody only singing and younger brother playing bass unless we're getting more Nightwish or possibly The Darkness with Motorheart music video.

I had no idea the contract AGT wanted them to sign was that bad, no wonder they turned it down after their father/manager had his friend who is a lawyer look it over. They continue to be independent even now and it seems to be working for them since they are going to be on the KISS KRUISE for a 2nd time and were at Rocklahoma, Monsters on the Mountain, and Woodstock, GA concert recently.

As good as the covers are, can't go wrong with any of them, personally prefer the originals. "Mars" live (concert footage with guitar solo) "Dear Father" (latest original video) "Dancing in the Dark" "Sail Away" (ballad) would be good places to start.

You had a few of the facts about the band but here is some more information on Liliac. Liliac (pronounced Lily-Ak) is a band of 5 brothers and sisters that have been playing together for several years. Sam (lead guitar) is 22, Abigail (drums) is 21, Melody (lead vocals and sometimes bass) is 19, Ethan (bass and rhythm guitar) is 15, and Justin (keyboard and soon to add rhythm guitar) is 14. The Cristea family was from Los Angeles but last year moved to Georgia. The father Florin Cristea, and mother Nineta, were both originally from Romania. Both their families moved to the United States when the two were children. They met in the US and were married and began their family thereafter. The word Liliac is Romanian for Bat. They began as the Cristeas when Sam was about 13 or 14 years old. At that time, it was just Sam, Abigail, and Melody, as the two boys were really too young. They did covers. This band will be as great a legend as the artists they cover. I love them. They also write their own songs. Listen to MARS and NOTHING. I have all their music and as long as they keep up with this calibre of music, i will be buying more

I would go back and forth between their covers and originals to see the full scope of their talent. You may like their cover of Joan Jetts "Hate Myself For Loving You" or Jefferson Airplanes " Somebody To Love" for their originals like people have said "Mars" live from Cummings GA (Georgia) 2019 or their ROCK Ballad "Sail Away" "Dancing In the Dark" "Mystery" "Chain Of Thorns" "I'm Not Afraid" (Lyrics Only) ...and the list goes on..anything you choose between covers and originals won't disappoint. Personally their cover of Dio's "Rainbow In The Dark " drew me in ever since been following them.

Wow! You guys are ahead of most of the reaction trains! Lot's of folks are just starting to discover them. They are remarkable to say the least. Cover of Joan Jett's I hate myself for loving you, is awesome too. Mel's vocals are so far advanced for such a young singer, it takes a lot of folks by surprise. She might have been maybe 15 there. This whole family is so bloody talented it hurts LOL. Far too much sprinkled into one small place for sure. Melody's power is never in question, but on a lot of their own material you hear her clean vocals a lot more as well. She has a really great range and can turn that distortion off at a moments notice, when she wants.Sam is a hell of a guitarist for being so young. Never misses notes, plays perfect tempo and delivers all the emotion in his solos you could ask for. He also does most of the editing, production and drone work for the videos. Multi talented indeed !Everyone loves Abigail :-). She pounds those skins like they owe her money or something. She has an infectious smile that brightens up whole rooms, and her percussion talents are front and cetner in keeping the band in time, on point and perfectly balanced. She's amazing.Probably the most talented of all is Ethan. Mel used to play Bass and sing, but felt it'd be better to focus on just singing and "performing" as the front person. Wise decision indeed ! But Ethan was the one to effortlessly drop rhythm guitar for the bass and they didnt miss a beat (pardon the pun). Young mans got some of the slickest and sickest bass riffs you'll ever get to hear!!Justin has really grown into his keyboard for sure. No matter if its a synth, piano or anything in between...if its got the ebonies and ivories on it, he can play it!!I absolutely love this band. Have been subscribed to their channel now for almost 2 years and haven't regretted a single day!! Hope you keep them in the loop, they have a fair amount to listen to already! i always enjoy watching first time reactors....once you dive down the liliac rabbit hole its tough to leave.....from covers to originals, not a clinker in the bunch.....also take into account a lot of the vids/editing is done "in house"....literally and figuratively

hey I'm a 68 year old guy with no interest in heavy metal music, but I love this group, the talent in this family is unbelievable.. The singer Melody is one of the greatest female rock voices I've heard.Her sister Abigail the drummer has gotten praise from no less than Stewart Copeland..Sam the guitarist is a world class shredder, The other guitar player Ethan can also shred the hell out of the guitar, but has now taken over the bass from Melody.. I would recommend The Last In Line from Dio which they were specifically requested to do from Dio's wife for the Dio cancer fund...Angelina Jordan and Lilliac are just about the only reactions I listen to so I was happy to see you guys react to this

"Crazy Train" was one of their first covers as Liliac. I think "Wild Thing" and possibly "Enter Sandman" came before this one. But these are about 3 or 4 years old now. And as you can tell here that they're pretty young, all in the teenage years. The guitarist here, Sam, the oldest, was probably only 19, I believe. He's 22 now. The drummer, Abigail, only 18 here, now 21. My point though is that when we're all that young, we grow up pretty quickly, so just in the span of 3 or 4 years, you will see a big difference in their maturity. That little guy playing the rhythm guitar, who was just 12-ish during this video is now 15 and playing a mean bass, and has grown up quite a lot. And the keyboardist was about 10 here, is now 13 and again, has matured a bit as well.

Your second pause caught Stewart Copeland of the group the Police fame, rocking out with Liliac. There is some video of him preforming on the pier with them. Great reaction love a daily dose of Liliac.

This was an OK reaction. At least you got some of the info correct. Just imagine at the very young age while they were learning to busk at the pier for 5 to 6 years every weekend in the hot California sun. This is what I love about this one. It gives you a glimpse at how hard they worked giving their all. MeloDia has said she'd sometimes would get vertigo on the pier. Look at how red they were in this one. MeloDia was around 16 on this one. Youngest Justin was around 10, Ethan 12, Sam 19, Abigail 18 etc. Justin turns 14 next week, Ethan 15, MeloDia 19, Abigail 21, Sam 22 current ages. They do awesome covers and fantastic originals in their Vamp Metal style. Fully independent band. We, the Fangs are their lable for now so they can fully be as creative as possible.
