Jay Z did a really nice tribute after Chester died.. he played one of their collab songs and the audience sang all of Chester’s parts. Goosebumps!

As a black man, Collision Course was what introduced me to Linkin Park, which introduced me to Rock music as a whole. It will always be my top 3 fav albums of all time just for that alone.

Jay Z & Linkin Park went on tour together called Collision Course, which they combined all their records together, it was immense!

Mike Shinoda is the guy who composed almost everything from Linkin Park. He is the dark haired on on the boards. He’s a genius.

What Jay Z and Linkin Park did is more of a mashup. They re-recorded their original songs over each other's beats. This is Jay Z's "Encore" verses over Linkin Park's beat and hook for "Numb".

I bought the collision course album (on CD at Best Buy because I’m old like that) the day it released and it actually introduced me to Jay-Z’s music. It still one of my favorite albums to this day. Chester Bennington has my heart and soul. That man’s voice gives me chills every time I hear it. I’ve never mourned a celebrity death like I did his and I will never get over the world losing him.

Their collabo album is amazing, such a classic but damn you should of reacted to their live performance of the song “99 problems” that’s the video where you see Jay Z be like damn that was incredible when chester yells at the end. Jays facial expression was priceless.

Yea they put their existing songs together to create a mashup album. It was polarizing because it wasn’t often at that time that rock and hip hop crossed paths. Linking Park were so loved as they were so relateble to youth's problems, youth mindset, to anyone actually that are open to talk about things that no many talk about, not enough, not directly. Also a mixed race, mixed styles, mixed genres... But this was also the reason they didn't get much promotion, weren't too popular

Fucking Chester's voice is one of the most amazing things I will ever here in my life time. I remember the 1st time I got to go see Linkin Park live at Red Rocks and his voice was something special that may never happen again in my lifetime. He was the Freddy Mercury of my generation

After Jay Z did this with Lincoln Park, he started using a live band in his performances, which sounded pretty good

Check out the whole show song by song, they only did like 6 tracks for this mashup album and it’s easily one of the best albums I’ve ever bought. Picked which songs of each would fit best, slowed or sped some of the vocals/beats to make it work perfect and they were all insane

I remember when this dropped, I was already a huge Linkin Park fan and somewhat of a fan of Jay. This was my first exposure to mashups and the shit blew my mind! This album still slaps. They basically just mashed up their popular songs which was a winning formula.

I remember when this Linkin Park/Jay-Z special played on MTV. The very next day I drove to the CD store (this I hope we used to listen to music back in the day) and asked if they had the album. It hadn't been released yet. The employees there said EVERY SINGLE customer that day was asking for that album.

I had the privilege of seeing/hearing Linkin Park live when Chester was still alive. It was AWESOME. Chester was a legend. RIP

I forget how young you guys are. I was in high school when this came out. Such a dynamic time. I always knew of jay z and I was never big into hip hop. But the collision course turned me on to jay z and hip hop ! Reasonable doubt is still my favorite hip hop album of all time.
