What you just watched was not just the video for the song, but the actual recording of the studio version of the song. The recording here was all done in one take. Steve walks in, sits down, sings and walks out. Video and studio version all done simultaneously in one take.

It’s three years after you reviewed this… ohhhh yah… It’s INSANE how good he is. He’s 76 years old now and still lives in California. I was a freshman in high school when Escape came out… and I knew the previous albums too. They are UNBEATABLE! Forty five years later it’s STILL my #1 with nobody even coming close. Nobody is better. I literally listen almost DAILY all these years later, never tired of it. They were MAGIC together but Steve’s vocals are beyond Heavenly. Glorious. Totally. Go back to Infinity and Evolution albums. Check out ‘Winds of March’ and ‘Patiently’ and so many others. You may have already done it…. They’re GREAT albums and the others are fantastic too but Evolution and Infinity are my personal faves.

Steve Perry is 72 years old today. All the old members ( original )of Journey are still alive. I think Steve Perry would love to meet you. You should watch the 2017 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They all said a few words. Even Steve Perry. It’s was awesome to see them FINALLY given that honor. Long overdue.

I'm from Houston and i was at the concert journey did in 1983. You really need to look up Steve Perry latest songs called"IN THE RAIN!!!!! "I NEED YOU!!!! "YOU BELONG TO ME!!!! these songs i posted are around 2 years ago and there's a true story behind these songs because a woman who he was in love with passed away from breast cancer in the early 2000s Before she passed away she had Steve make her a promise that he would start singing again. His voice is raspy but they are bone chilling!!! You can feel his pain in these songs i posted

It just gives me so much joy to see someone discover something I've taken for granted and have known since the song came out. It really is a great sensation and it brings me to tears. It seems most of his songs are sung with great emotion. This yearning must come from the recent death of his Mom whom he was very close to. Also he sings of his relationships of course, don't they all? All I listen to is Steve and Journey.
