This is the song where I knew Steve Perry's voice before I knew his name. This song lives in the deep recesses of my soul and within the marrow of my bones.
He’s one of the few people that can sing in that range and when he belts power notes it doesn’t assault your ears. Rare. He’s smooth, perfect pitch and transition and knows when to use his vibrato. Michael Bolton makes my throat heart ! Not Steve Perry though !
Dude, if you just really want to see Steve showing out: 2 songs Sweet and Simple and the best live vocal you've EVER heard on Mother Father from the Houston concert.
Anything off that Journey Live in Houston concert will blow you away. They're in their prime, including Steve's Voice. "Faithfully", "Mother, Father", "Chain Reaction", and "Lights" are great picks.
Love your reaction. Yes Steve Perry, one of the greatest. So many amazing artists in the 70/80s. Just classic. The other song I was thinking but that I'd love to see you react to by him is called "Oh Sherrie"
So glad you are listening to Steve Perry and Journey. The Voice truly is a living legend! Please listen to MISSING YOU by Steve Perry. The official video is great and so is his live version in the 90's....I believe it was in New York City. Peace~
Journey - Sweet And Simple ..it’s a deep track with amazing vocals. Should listen to a song most fans don’t even know to realize how good these guys were lol ..even their lesser known tracks are amazing.
He’s still alive. Great song 🎤🌟❤️‼️. Love your reaction 👍🏻❤️‼️. “Wheel in the Sky” and “Faithfully” are a couple other greats by him. He was the lead singer of the band Journey as well as having a solo career. One of my favorite singers of all time 👍🏻👏🏻🌟❤️‼️
Steve Perry is still alive. He is 70 years old. In the day they called him "The voice". Please react to Steve Perry "faithfully" the official video. God bless. African American Queen 👑.
1:38 Those are the type of eyes I see in girls when they see their favourite singer sing and they’re completely quiet. They’re not screaming they’re just in complete awe. You are clearly fangirling without meaning to. I, too, am a big fan of Steve Perry’s and I was fangirling. You’re absolutely right, I don’t think anyone is ready when they are about to hear Steve Perry sing.
He's very much alive and at 70 years old still hands down the greatest vocalist to ever lift up a microphone. He still writes music. Listen to it, his new album is called Traces
You'll love Journey's Girl Can't Help It. Hopefully you can react to the official video because it's a live performance and is a great representation of the Journey sound.
Yes he’s still alive! He’s 73 on 1/22/22. Still singing with that voice of gold! He is the GoAT! ❤️🎶 Check out the 1979 video of Wheel in the Sky. (He is dressed in all white.) His voice is a freaking instrument!!!
You should check out 'Captured By The Moment'. He sings about singers of the past. It's a GREAT and beautiful song!!! Also, check out 'You Better Wait, Missin' You and Any Way' from his 2nd solo album.
Patty-Yes he is still alive. His latest solo album is called Traces. Check out the song called No Erasin. It was released in 2018. He was 70 yrs old when it was released. He still rocks it.
steve is still alive, he has not sung in twenty some years but his girlfriend died of cancer and he kept a promise to her and came out with a new album called traces. The song most of all is about losing her, october in new york is where they went for her cancer treatments and sunshine gray is about trying to come out of the darkness from losing her. We're still here is about the young kids carrying on and their energy still resonanes in all of us. steve is in his seventies now and still sounds phenomanal.
He's 'The Voice' brother man, try Mother, Father, it is sublime. Please, let me remind you to listen to Judas Priest, Dreamer/Deceiver & Deceiver. Rob Halford, vocalist since '69 of Priest, is known as 'The Metal God'. His 5-octave voice will Astound You! Love you man, keep dropping!
kid, your so spot on with your reactions & reviews about Journey & steve perry!...and hearing your damn good voice, in my eyes, gives you the credit & respect to actually review an iconic voice like steve perrys!! great job! ......did you review any pink floyd?
My friend, This is the first and only video of yours, Ive ever seen. Absolutely hilarious, to see another man get so hype over incredible singers..to the point where you feel free to try and mimic it, unafraid and out loud for others. Im constantly doing shit like that. Just randomly belting out Steve Perry, Sam Cooke, Johnny Cash, Phil Lynott( singer for Thin Lizzy), and many more. Keep feeling it, and sharing it brother. People like you, (and I), remind others that it's cool to express joy. ** A real banger for you... A little known, seldom heard ol Rock/Gospel song called: Morning Train, by the Sensational Nightingales. There is an almost never viewed, audio/video of it here on RU-vid. Seek it out. I am sure you will enjoy it, to death. The strength of the man's voice is mind blowing. May God Bless you, in all the days ahead...
Steve Perry is lead of all of Journey s top songs....left them in 98, mother died, girlfriend died, but came back last year to sing. He’s alive and recording again!
He's IS alive, and after a 25 year hiatus, is back making music! Check out his RU-vid channel. He just posted a video of him singing on his cellphone ... with no music! It gave me shivers! 🔥🔥🔥 I'd love for you to do an extra long Steve Perry video, with 4 songs from the Journey performance in Houston.
Hey, first time on your space... you’re doing really good with these Journey and SPerry tunes. Two suggestions where Perry is concerned... one is really smooth - a song called Missing You from one of his solo albums. But find the live version! It’s brilliant. Now for something dramatic, try Mother/Father from the live show in Houston. It will blow your mind. Actually, that entire live show is on YT... so check it out! Best of luck to you!
Steve is still alive, Sir. He unfortunately had a major surgery years back for vocal nodules, that affected his voice and it's never been the same.since 😭
Recently discovered your channel! Really enjoy it! Love your passion and appreciation of music.. Glad you seem to enjoy Steve Perry and the rest of Journeys immense talent as much as I do.. Continue with all your great videos buddy!
