"Here Comes The Sun" is on the Beatles 1969 album "Abbey Road". It was written by George Harrison. Such a happy optimistic feeling song. George also wrote the song "Something" on the same Abbey Road album.

I always listen to this song during the Winter Solstice. Fun Fact: One of the Beatles, Paul McCartney, wrote a song in the 1980s called "Ebony and Ivory" which he performed with Stevie Wonder.

The Beatles are the greatest musical act of all time and a gift to the world! Each song is like opening a new gift. Not one song sounds like another song, each one is unique.

I got Abbey Road, the album, in 1969 and this that you are reacting to sounds exactly the same as the album. Amazing quality soundwise for the time. I hope you do more Beatles. Great job.

George Harrison is the one putting his hat on near the end of the video. He wrote and sang lead, as well as played guitar on this song.

My late wife and I grew up, both loving this uplifting song all our lives. One of the finest songs George Harrison wrote and performed. It's the last song she heard, as she was in a coma and I brought a musician in to perform it for her (people in comas may not be able to see or speak, but they can hear). She had told me she wanted it played at her funeral--with all the positive sunshine, the warmth and light which emanates from the song.

This is a modern remixing from the original elements of the 1969 recording. Giles Martin, the son of the group's producer, George Martin, was in charge of the remixing and did an excellent job, in my opinion. Try the song called The Word and also The Word Remixed!

Great reaction. The Beatles made 13 albums. Each one sounded different, and was an expression of what was going on at the time. The sound of their music was always current. I think it would be great if you reacted to a live performance. I would recommend their roof top performance of a song called Don't Let Me Down. It is completely different from what you reacted to so far.

The video you watched of the song is a new animation using various "cuts" of the band, and with new animations. Of course the band isn't there..! The animation was created along with the anniversary of the associated album "Abbey Road" that was the last Beatles album recorded in 1969, this anniversary is a celebration of the album and a remaster done in 2019.

The Beatles were innovators for a generation during the sixties. They were the first group to do videos of their songs. I see how impressed you were with the presentation on film. However, listening to the music with eyes closed is the best way to hear the group.

abbey road is the street that EMI studios is on. EMI was the label the beatles recorded on. (actually "parlophone" was the label. EMI was the music corporation that owned "parlophone, in britain, and "capitol records" in the states,) in 1968 they started their own record label "apple corps." but EMI remained their distributor and their recording sudio. later those EMI studios were renamed "abbey road studios" in honor of the beatles who made the street world famous. people come from all over the world just to walk across that cross walk the beatles crossed on the cover. and, there were no original music videos to any of the songs off of "abbey road." the photo montage was created through a series of still photographs taken in 1969. that last color film footage was recorded during their last photo session as a group in mid-1969 that corresponded with the release of the album "abbey road."

The Beatles, as a band, are so unique. All 4 Beatles were songwriters, although John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote 90% of their songs. And they all could sing lead vocals. The Rolling Stones referred to this band as the 4-headed monster because the fact they could all write and sing lead made it difficult ultimately to compete with them. In fact, the Beatles wrote The Rolling Stones first big hit! And they would often give songs to other bands that they thought were good….snd it helped those bands to launch their own popularity! The one thing the Beatles knew how to do, was how to write hit rock or pop songs! This song was written and sung by lead guitarist, George Harrison. One of his best, and it showed up on the Beatles last album before their infamous breakup in 1970. George would go on to write and record enough of his own songs to record a double solo album, All Things Must Pass, following the Beatles breakup and it went platinum and paved the way for George’s very successful solo career. Each of the Beatles had outstanding solo careers after The Beatles. You will never go wrong if you continue going down the Beatles rabbit hole and explore their music. They have quite an interesting career. Every song sounds quite different from the next. And if you listen to each song on each album in chronological order, you will see how they evolved as a band into a better and better band! The music started out quite simple and got more complicated and awesome with each album. Going through listening to their music and learning about them, learning about each song will CHANGE YOUR LIFE. They would come up with a song, then work on it, adding instrumentation or sound effects, or backup music….sometimes changing the tempos, sometimes changing back and forth between two different kinds of time meters, just to make the song more artistic and unique. None of these boys had any formal musical training…all were self taught musicians. Looking forward to watching you two react to more Beatles music. The songs, Let it Be and Here Comes the Sun….both those songs were recorded at the end of their Beatles careers, so these songs are very artistically sophisticated in how they were produced. Some of their best work! Go back now…and experience the evolution of this band. Their first recorded song was Love Me Do. But their first real big hit was I Wanna Hold Your Hand. And also, She Loves You. And, I Saw Her Standing There. Listen to those songs. They still sound great! Girls went crazy for their music because the lyrics were written as if they had written them for each of them.

There is so many photos and so much video of the Beatles, it's ridiculous. Paul sang Let it Be and the Long and Winding Road. George Harrison sang this one. I recommend Don't Let Me Down (rooftop performance) to hear John Lennon. Listen to Yellow Submarine for Ringo. They all had successful solo careers too with big hits and signature songs.

When this song was new, NO VIDEO. This was made decades after. You had to use your own imagination....gee, what a revelation...your own imagination. The idea to listen to music with your eyes to me is ridiculous...I was a music teacher. However this is a very well done video and lots of love must have one into this, it is very effective, yes. This is why those learning about the Beatles should start chronologically from the beginning and understand how they progressed and led the way, not by design but by accident, by just being them. A perfect storm. then there is the movies: A Hard Days Night, Help, Magical Mystery Tour Tv special, Yellow Submarine full feature length cartoon with their music, and Let It Be documentary which recently became the much longer Get Back documentary about 8 hours long. Ron Hoard's Eight Days a Week about their touring years from 1962- to 1966 is also excellent. Another documentary called the Compleat Beatles ca 1982, is also excellent, done by their own Apple Record label company, made by the late Neil Aspinal, their former road manager and "caretaker " of their archives of film and other things. The Beatles First Visit to America is another good documentary that take s place in the 2 weeks in February 1964.

Apparently, so the story goes, George didn't want to go to a meeting with some suits so he ( in his words saged off) played truent and went to Eric Claptons house... messed about with one of Clapton Accustic guitars and as the Sun came up (as Clapton put it) wrote this song in half an hour or so
