Love this song, it's a rock classic. The Stones were always on the edge with their music, and were always the funkiest of the classic rock bands. Absolutely love this song. It's from their Beggers Banquet album, one of my favorite albums ever. Street Fighting Man and Jig Saw Puzzle from the album are also great listens.

The best song the Stones ever recorded! Brilliantly, the seductive rhythm and melody make you want to dance, but the song is hella DARK. It's about our complicity with the personification of evil. Similar themes can be found in Gimme Shelter and Brown Sugar, two songs that a lot of people know but rarely read the lyrics. Try those next. They're great songs, not quote as brilliant as Sympathy but well worth checking out.

In some ways, i like the Blood Sweat and Tears version of Symphony for the Devil/ Sympathy for the Devil a little better. Maybe its the use of the horn section or their use of dynamics. Or maybe i had that version first

This song wasn’t as controversial as it could have been since you had to buy the album, know a friend who had the album or listen to FM ‘underground’ radio to hear it. Big cities were the only places that had FM rock radio.

I saw One Direction 8 or 9 years ago with my girlfriend's daughter and her friends at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. It was 115 degree heat index that day, but surprisingly I really enjoyed the show. It really ended up being a great show. About two years before that, when she was turning 12, she was so enamored of One Direction and in particular Harry Styles that she wanted a mock wedding to him for her birthday party, so her mom and I did all this stuff and set it up, got one of those lifelike cardboard cutouts of Harry Styles, etc. And then she wrote her own ridiculously funny melodramatic wedding vows, and her friends were the bridesmaids and so forth, and we bought several bottles of fake champagne. I ruled on Donkey Kong and Space Invaders at the arcades back in the day. 😅

You must listen to classical if you aren't used to music making you need to move. That's cool but dang you're missing out. Check out some older blues - Muddy Waters or John Lee Hooker or Albert King. Almost all of it will get you dancing.

Most follow Satan & Not Jesus Christ... Even the believers in Christ as full payment for their sins. That's why Paul wrote work out your salvation with fear and trembling... First off He said "Work out" not for because once we put our faith in Christ finished work we are saved till the day of redemption aka rapture... But it will be a fearful thing to stand in front of God which knows everything about you & all the opportunities we had to live for him and see others saved and yet we chose satan and the world.....

Lucifer is the eternal Loser . Whereas , Jesus gave His Life for the sins of the world and freely offers His Gift of Everlasting Life to all who simply believe in Him for it . Little children can easily understand and believe in Him for His doubtless Guarantee of Everlasting Life instantly having irrevocable Life at that moment (John 3:16 & Ephesians 2:8-9) . Cuz He cannot lie to the little ones , unlike the father of all lies (Satan) . Best news , ever .
