OMG! Can't believe I am the first person to view/like/comment on this!! ?!?!?! That amazing woman could sing the phone book and make it EPIC! On a side note... I first found (& subscribed to) you when you did your very first Dimash reaction. Absolutely LOVE watching your videos❣️ Your energy, and beautiful smile, are so uplifting! Thank You for who you are, and what you do! Much Love & Respect, 🍃💞Mandi💞🍃
Awwww thank you so much for the kind words! 🥺 When I first started making video, I never thought that people would like my videos. I was okay with just 5 people watching my videos if they enjoyed them. I am shocked that people really enjoyed watching my video. You’re the reason I make videos!
I’ve always thought that when Whitney sang, if you looked at the expressions on her face and the presence she emotes with pure joy, she had to be most ‘together’ person God ever created. She looks as perfect as she sounds. I wish that really was her. She’d still be with us.
Whitney’s version is by far the best performance!!! Whitney demonstrated a masterful use of technique in all her registers from her chest registers to head voice. She can also effortlessly switch between registers seamlessly. Her voice can belt clear and booming and then pull back and be light and velvety smooth. Such masterful versatility!! Her tone, in all her registers, is crystal clear, sweet like honey and gorgeous!! Her phrasing, diction, and delivery is bar none the best. Whitney was poised and graceful in her delivery and stage presence.
I was unbelievably blessed enough to experience her live 3 times. She was truly an amazing human being. My family is thankful for your existence Whitney. She was the absolute greatest.
Mindblowing performance, she did the National Anthem also in her concerts. I saw her in concert when she was in her prime. Absolutely stunning... 😎❤️ Great reaction,
Whitney's voice is a human treasure. Dead or alive, she is for sure the best female voice in music history. Whitney Houston was a born star. she was a gift from mother Nature The golden standard of a females voice. everyone wishes they could sound like her, men and women. The world's greatest singer. Whitney is a master of all the techniques, 1) resonance, 2) Vibrato, 3) Colorature 4)inflections 5) scaling up and down 6) natural 7)falsetto or soft soprano for a woman 8) throat, diaphram and head singing 9) Crescendo and decrescendo and breath control 10) staccato and perfect diction Than to top THAT, she was also physically the MOST beautiful singer to ever exist as well
Love your energy! I am always amazed at the power in her voice and how effortlessly she sang. We were blessed to have her walk amongst us. Her music will live on.
I miss Whitney, I really do, we were born the same year, and I remember when she first came on the scene, there was just something about her, a true talent with an amazing gift. One of my first 'CD's was one of Whitney's. I still have it, think I'll pull it out this weekend. It's not my place to judge Whitney, just wish she were still with us sharing her incredible talent.
This stands as a testament to all African Americans who built the United States of America with blood, sweat, and tears, and even their lives, and yet were denied their place at the table - even to the extent of being ignored for their commitments to U.S. war efforts throughout hundreds of years. Whitney Houston clarifies that the national anthem was earned in part by the U.S.'s black population.
Hands down one of the best renditions of the National Anthem ever!! She hit every beat bringing every once of power the every word is meant to be heard, and felt. May Whitney Forever Rest In Peace and may we always appreciate her during her times of greatness and respect her in her privacy
That's her song now. It's hers...she owns it. Other singers should have to hold seances to get her permission to sing it. I can almost hear Whitney saying "Oh Hell To The Nah!"
I agree with you. The best version EVER! I get goosebumps every single time I hear her sing this. RIP Whitney. Thanks for the great reaction! Stay safe! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
At a time when our country needed unity and was about to fight a war this was an emotional tribute to all who have served and still serve. So awesome to see it still gets the recognition it deserves 30 years later. Your reaction says it all and love the video.
Any new reactions like these are valuable because we can't assume those of the younger generations are aware of the incomparable Whitney Houston. Just consider that this recording is a little over thirty years old and no one has come close to her version. There is a majesty, power and emotional current in her voice unequaled by any other singer who has performed this difficult song. Long live the Queen....
Listen call me crazy but I'm from Puerto Rico, we've been born american citizen since 1917 but some (most) of us don't feel american. We're a completely different culture and some us of that know enough history, know how much damage the US has done to us. I might be one of those. What the US has done to PR is unforgivable BUT Whitney..... she gives me all the feels. The feeling the I was born and raised in the mainland, like I'm proud to be an american. She gets my chest filled with honor and pride. It's so contradictory but that's the power she had.
I’ve always thought Whitney was the best singer ever! Was a fan of her in her prime and was pulling for her when she was battling her demons. RIP Whitney. I will always love you!
You said you’ve listen to a lot of different artists singing the Star-Spangled Banner I was wondering if you have listened to Marvin Gaye sing it at an NBA championship game
I'm a atheist but when I hear Whitney Houston sing, I can't help myself to believe that voice came from heaven and is the only proof that God's existence must be real.
React to Chicago Bulls introduction when Jordan was there....I think the quick link or one that pops up first is gonna be from 97....... please and thanks bro bro! Lol
Lol..I won't say better..because Whitney is in a Class all her own..but I'm implore u to check out Ella Fitzgerald (who can shatter glass with her voice) and check out Patty LaBelle who has an other world range and octaves as does Ella Fitzgerald.. Only a few Ppl born with perfect pitch these are 3 wonderful examples.. Go check them out... Ella Fitzgerald is SCARY SOMETIMES when she sings...youngman..learn about ur Black History and the vocalist that come from our Black American Lineage...🖤💯
Bro, I love Whitney's version, but gospel singer Sandi Patti did it better. I think it was 1986 that Sandi was broadcast doing it at the Liberty Weekend celebration. Look it up, you won't be able to pick yourself up off the floor. Whitney 2nd to hers. Everyone else in the dust. 😁
Keke is an AMAZING vocalist who would be world class if she was more disciplined in how she sings... she hollas 2 much for hollering sake. Which gets boring quick. N this is someone who has seen her live
