Good stuff man. I use to run out there 3 times a week. A few years ago from here in San Diego.. On the US side its Calexico. On the Mexico side its Mexicali. Keep up the content. Makes me want to jump back in.
Thats why when booking ANY load you understand what the load is and the requirements... Thats why its important to have a good broker/dispatcher... Also always get everything in writing to cover yourself for extra pay.
The way to get that load of steel out is to wrap the strap around forks and steel then ratchet it tight. Barely lift then you pull van forward and the other forklift gets under from the side and once they have a a good hold you pull all of the way out from under it.
@@dggothustle facts. I’m also in trucking school on the weekends, on the mission for class A, why not? I’m a bus driver so I’m use to driving large vehicles… keep the content coming
Good videos man. I recently started my business as well but haven't had any luck getting loaded. Any advice on some companies I can sign on to to keep me moving?
Hey man great information! Question: Did you buy your van str8 cash or did you finance? I want to jump in this game badly, I am just not in position to buy a van straight out. If financing, who would you recommend for start ups?
Mann my worst otr experience was the owner for box truck cash flow was low had to chill at a pilot in Connecticut for 5 days it was one of those holiday weekends too! No funds for fuel..🙁
Do you always get a return load once you drop off or do you have to sit and wait sometime with the cargo van ? If so what's the longest you had to wait King ?
Man brotha around the time of this video.. The longest Ive waited was 3 hrs for a load.. Now I just got back off the road an was stuck in Kentucky for 2 days🤦🏾♂️ its ugly right now..
Yea bro OTR doesn’t sound good to me. Main issue for me is trying to eat healthy while out for multiple days, can’t do the fast food. Thanks for Sharing your experience
I hear you i want the freedom i want to save up for a van i work for a delivery company i defintley get annoyed fast my freind has a truck and he has someone drive for him and i know they are both making money.
I don’t know if it’s the proper term but where did you get that back drop for your van? I just bought a ford and it’s loud as hell just trying to silence some of that noise
yeah OTR Can be anywhere in the US.. But Regional will have you in LA, AZ maybe even Washington.. You can start under a fleet owner if you want to check it out...
Wsup DG, what fb groups are you in? Or what's your FB name? I'm in the East Bay trying to get started. I have a transit connect I have from a previous business.
I see your videos before subscribed me, have question, I have very old cargo van I do not want to get rid of it because it is a 6-cylinder cheap in gas, do you think they could accept me in this app with my van?
Oh okay awesome, I do have an Mc and dot# How did you get ahold of the dispatchers if you don't mind me asking? I have to wait 21 days for the DOT to finalize and would like to start some work, i have a brand new van sitting in my driveway
@@AdrianRomero-ss5lf FaceBook groups but be careful Its a few scammers in those groups.. Try USKO.COM and Double Leap.. Even google van contracts and companies will pop up.
I drove a 250 before and I liked the way they ride.. But the main reason I bought when the market was bananas and it was easy for me to get so I just snatched it..
@@dggothustle I feel you get in where you fit in. NOW .. have you came across situations where you like man only if I had the 350? Do you worry about the weight etc etc
@@dggothustle tough. I’ve watched hella of ur vids tomight & read all the comments. I been thinking about getting a van recently. Been doing doordash for couple years & the pay ain cutting it
@@imjcarp Not gonna lie brother if you don't have the capital to get a Van or to have your Van note really low plus insurance it's kind of not worth it at the moment rates are really low.. Ima keep it solid with you.. its rough out here right now.. but if you really a hustla you probably can grind it out✊🏾
Hey bro congrats on your success with the business. That dispatch guy sounds shady…no bueno! Do you have your authority and MC# to do OTR? Is it required or not? Thanks for sharing
I’m from Detroit Mi looking to get into this business. I don’t own my own van but I do have a enhanced chauffeurs license and a DOT card.I’m looking to drive for someone. If anybody have any info for me help me out
