Such an incredible song! She wrote the perfect song that perfectly fits with the storyline of Attack on Titan, what a talent this woman has. Also, OMG, playing and singing at the same time is so difficult, she nailed it!

Okey now you're just teasing me 😂😂😂 I always request Ai Higushi's Itterasshai and you go and tease me with Akuma no Ko. Don't get me wrong I love it, and if it weren't for Itterasshai I would have said this is my favourite. But alas, Itterasshai exist. So please do it 🙏🙏🙏 and don't forget about To you 2000 years.... or 20000 Years from Now by Linked Horizon and Mikasa's VA Yui Ishikawa. Also, while I don't think I have ever read or watched a Show/Manga that combines so many genres and be as daring and uncaring to whether the public will agree with what it's trying to convey like AOT, I think Vinland Saga us the best Non-fantasy psychological, Drama anime/Manga, and Legend of the Galactic Heroes (the Original) is the best Political show I've ever seen. So watch these if you're having withdrawal symptoms after finishing AOT 😂😂😂

I think people who were able to watch Attack on Titan in real time and not 10 or 20 years later were very lucky. Even in Japan, there are very few works that have an impact on someone's life. There was a novel that had a similar influence and was made into an anime, but it's an older work and I don't think you'll enjoy it as much if you watch it now. It teaches me that seeing things in real time is very important. I'm using translation, so I'm sorry if my English is weird.

The message of Akuma no ko (Devil's child) really matches that of AoT, that we all have devils within. That is one of the many things which makes the show special and universal. I would strongly recommend you to listen to "13 winters" and "To you in 2000 or 20000 years from now". Yui Ishikawa (VA of Mikasa) is also a great singer.

In "To You in 2000 or 20000 years from now" she's not the only one singing it. Yuki Kaji (Eren) sang the chorus with her and he sang the end chorus with Revo from Linked Horizon. He even said that title of the song in Japanese in the end.

Honestly it's not about All time Best or Masterpiece or GOAT or any other title. It's about the feeling that AOT gives. Whether i hear or feel or remind or watch anything that relate with AOT i get all the AOT running in my mind. Even without watching anything related to it by hearing AOT or thinking about it. I think No anime can give that feeling to me. It's not about how i feel when i am watching or how i rate it. It's about how i feel it and how emotionally it is connected and how relatable it is to me. I never watched anything that is as realistically close and emotionally connected as AOT. ❤❤🥺

Hey Luke, I would love to see a reaction to Ragna Crimson's Opening: "Roar" from Ulma sound junction. In my opinion, there will be no anime like Aot in the near future (like, probably for the next 60 years or something). However, I can say that, If I had to pick a number 2 (which would still be far below aot), I would pick Chainsaw Man, but you won't understand until season 2 comes out :)

I've seen people give the show a chance just to drop it mid season 4... I guess It's not everyones taste. But it bummed me out watching them resume the show to "It's just nazis I guess" and being really peasky about every single detail up to that point.

I am sure there will be another AoT like novel in the future. Why? Because in its core, the story was a tragedy, what make it different was Isayama added some older Japanese religious ideology (there a few.) that would consider esoteric from the norm Shinto or Zen Buddhism. The closest would be Legend of Galactic heroes and that's a 10 novels political drama that had some similarity to warring states in Japan History or the Chinese 3 kingdoms period.. but with huge fleet of starships and deaths in the millions in a single battle. (think warhammer 40k blood bath.) The current re-make "Die neue these" is something worth watching, but it is aimed more toward older adults in their 30's. to 50's range.

AOT is pretty unique, but if you keep watching new anime you won't find interesting things, you should watch 80's 90's anime. Berserk, Inuyasha, both anime, Evangelion...

I’d strongly disagree although, even if I agreed with you, its not also a matter of better manga, an anime hits way differently than a manga, so the adaptation is prob the most important thing there is, alongside pacing and interpretation (voice acting), and I think thats what makes AoT as special as it is, everything lined up perfectly, committed VA’s, Studio, producers and the interest from its writer. Take as an example Jjk, the manga is nowhere close to the anime during shibuya.
