Oh there is sing and sang. This is the difference from every other singer. There are no male country singers like Chris. I listen to lots music but few can sang... Like when everyone can here that they are great. Not just a sub group of non mainstream people.
@@carmella83 there is a lot of country that is blues inspired. That's what people apparently dont get. Music has always evolved into other genres with many influencing the next. There are a lot of country songs ruth the mix of blues, soul, rock, r&b, hip hop, etc etc just like in other genres you find the same thing. It's why the idea that one tye of music belongs to one kind of person. This is a country song though. Maybe not what you think of as country but still.
Welcome to the good country, not all of it is trailer parks, lost dogs, girls that we're trying to drink off our minds, and the obligatory John Deer tractor or two lol, there's a hell of a lot of good country with stories behind the songs. One I cannot recommend enough is "Fancy" by good ole Reba, the lady is a country legend. Seriously, listen to it on your own time if you want but I'd love to see your reaction to it. If you REALLY want to hear him SANGIN' then you need to check out Chris singing James Brown's Man's world! (Make sure you check out the reactions from the band he's singing with) they are blown away. Not sure how he ended up singing with them but it's amazing and James is definitely smiling.
First of all it always baffles me how many people are so closed minded when it comes to True Country music. They see a cowboy hat or a beard. Hear a steel guitar or some twang and think they won’t like it. Why? Why keep yourself so closed to good music. This IS NOT the only country music that’s fantastic. Chis is amazing and is getting his due and it’s 100% deserving. I just hope it’s a stepping stone to shattering simple minds not even listening to Country Music, when so much of it is outstanding. Real vocals, no auto tune, musicians playing instruments, wholesome lyrics, harmonies, proud to be American, values and pride. This is what makes music wonderful. It shouldn’t be a race thing. It should be a “good music” crossing all boundaries thing. 😀

I'm not into a lot of Country. Someone said listen to this song.....I was thinking this isn't going to be great....no way! I do like some Country .....not many. I grew up outside of Baltimore. so, I understood how certain people just didn't listen to things that, honestly back then you'd have been picked on for stepping outside of the box, and it warms my heart to no end seeing these videos, music, every genre, it's for everybody, and shouldn't be used to make anyone feel bad or be claimed by one group of people.
If this man doesn't win the awards for country song of the year then I'll never listen to country music ever again in my life. Chris Stapleton has wrote music for a lot of musicians. This was one of the songs he decided to keep and sing himself he didn't think he was a good singer but boy was he wrong. He's not a good singer he is a great singer there is a big difference and I'm glad he didn't give this song to anyone else and decided to keep it and sing it himself. Because no one can sing this song like him.

HIGHLY recommend you to look at the Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake CMA 2015. Probably the best live TV performance. That video WILL " take you to church" like you were trying to say in this one. Also, check out any live versions of his songs and youll be just as pumped.

I think Chris Stapleton being labeled as "country" is really a misnomer. He's his own genre: Soul, blues, R&B, country or just plain "Chris Stapleton." Amazing singer and song writer. Love your reaction by the way :)

We call this southern rock. It is a mix of country, rock and the blues. Check out some Lyrnyrd Skynyrd , Creedance Clearwater Revival, this was very popular in the late 60's and early 70's and is sooo good it is still popular with so many that grew up listening to it. Chris Stapleton is the newest member of this catagory.
