Oh good I'm not the only one scouring youtube for Tennessee whiskey reaction videos lol my favorite part is waiting for the first run and watching them lose their sh@t.
Chris Stapleton got me hooked on to country music and I thank him for that! Country music is absolutely amazing. So many feelings in most of the songs. ❤️🔥
@Chris Stapleton I`m from Europe and I`m listening to this song for the first time. And yes, I`ve got chills all over. You`ve got yourself a big new fan :))))) Friendly greetings from Slovenia :)
"You're as warm as a glass of brandy..." That part gets them every time. Shoot, it got me. As an African-American woman, I enjoy all types of music. It doesn't matter the color of the artist. Chris Stapleton is that guy. His voice is like a blend of southern soul, blues, and country. He makes you feel whatever he's singing. It's good you admitted that you didn't know much about country music. There are a lot of us who think the same way until we stumble upon a country artist who changes our view, the way Chris Stapleton did with you. I've always liked country from a young age. I remember seeing Garth Brooks and instantly connecting to his music. There are a lot of amazing country artists out there Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery, Willie Nelson, Luke Bryan, etc. You get the picture. Great reaction. Keep them coming.
You just melted my heart when you said, "I realize how ignorant I was" - you're so humble in your reactions and so open to new things, and that's what is most appealing about your videos. You make me want to be more open-minded. I clicked on this thinking it might be a song I'd heard before; it turned out to be new to me, and I loved it, too. Thanks!
When Chris sings this song he means it. He didn't write it, but every time he performs this song it's dedicated to his wife and daughter. He quit drinking for them.
I heard this sang by someone who was doing like the music sheet version... No heart in it at all and a bunch of people were saying how they adored that cover. It was horrible compared to Stapleton.
React to Chris’ “ I Was Wrong”, “Parachute”, “Millionaire”, “Death Row”, “Broken Halos”. Warning, once you go down the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole, there’s no escape!
Chris Stapleton is an extraordinary artist: his voice is soulful, edgy, bluesy; the vocals are amazing, the arrangement is perfect; he's an exceptional artist
I absolutely love watching peoples first reactions to Chris Stapleton’s voice. Thank you for this I really appreciate it this man’s voice is absolutely brilliant
Honestly it’s not that you been missing it this whole time. Chris truly is a diamond in the ruff. So much soul and passion is a true rare thing these days. I’m a country fan have been for a long time. I also love pretty much every other genre. Guys like Chris are generational.
Thank God we're coming out of those boxes that we've been living in. Things are not always what they seem. Chris is one of the vessels, that God is using to break yolks in people's lives with his music. I love this man and his wife. Peace and blessings
When he sings live, he has this small rasp in his voice that is so beautiful. The studio recordings tend to clean that up and I miss it. His live performances are so absolutely wonderful.
The first time I ever heard Chris Stapleton, it was seeing him perform live at the O2 in London. It was just him, his band and his wife onstage, absolutely phenomenal. I was so incredibly lucky.
Your face through the whole song!😂 Thank you for not stopping the song every 5 seconds. Your face said it all! Love Chris Stapleton. Check out Man’s World!
Right!!!!? He is the only one so far who reacts more than playing the song all the way through. You really miss the emotion of the songs when you stop them every 2 seconds and react for 5 minutes. I think it would be better to play the song all the way through ( especially a song like this) make faces then verbally react after the song. Maybe it’s just me. Why I love them because we are introducing each other to music we would have ignored any other time. This creates a human connection. We need this
THIS is TRUE country music. For those who think that they don't like country, they have a preconceived notion of what it is based on satire without ever actually ever listening to it. I've seen so many reactioners learn to LOVE country after doing these videos.
I am a country music fan, but not today's country, mostly traditional older country and some new acts. Chris happens to be one of those "new" acts that I listen to regularly. I wouldn't categorize him as "country". He is almost a genre all his own. There is a ton of blues, R&B, soul, rock, and some country in his performances. You should check out "I Was Wrong" if you want to hear some more really good music with a ton of soul in it. You should put your twitter handle out there my friend. Would love to follow and see when you have other stuff. I am not on RU-vid regularly otherwise.
He is the best. Soulful, beautiful, true talent. Every song is a masterpiece. His live is even better. Sometimes I cry... if you feel nothing after listening to that you have no pulse.
Soul is soul no matter who's stage you get up and sing on...some peole got it, some don't. Chris was blessed with an extra helping of it that's for sure.
So glad that you got a chance to discover this artist, he's a prolific lyricist and before he was a solo artist he played in both a Bluegrass and Rock Blues Band. He's written and co-written songs as well for artists like Adele and Ed Sheeran. TALENTED with a Capitol T!
I understand why he's labeled as a country singer but anyone who has their sense of hearing can tell within 5 seconds of hearing him for the first time that he's an equal mix of soul and blues. I guess they need a headline performer at the 10 or so country music Awards shows that litter our airwaves.
Your reaction my brother is not unusual . Most people react. This man pours his heart & soul into his songs. Thats what real blues are. Thank you for your honesty.
I First Heard This Song At My Job, One Of The Welders Was Playing It On His Speaker I Heard “You’re As Warm As A Glass Of Brandy And I Haven’t Been Right Since ! I Listen To This Song Every Day Literally !!
WATCHING THESE WITH bLACK PEOPLE REACTING MAKES ME LAUGH AND CRY WITH JOY, LONG MAY THEY DISCOVER AMAZING MUSIC LIKE THIS, I LOVE IT WHEN THEY DO. Love and respect always.
