It’s a Dutch programme, where performers take it in turns to sing each other’s songs. The guy she’s singing to is Rolf Sanchez, who sang the original version. It’s well worth looking at Floor’s other performances on this show - she took it by storm.

Floor really transformed the song. Rolf is half Dominican, so he might have an accent and since Floor does not speak a word Spanish, she might have copied the accent. I'm always wondering how much. But since I don't speak Spanish either I guess I'll never really know.
I would second the comment about seeing Floor‘s other performances on the show. My favourite is her first performance Vilja Lied, and the song Winners.
She speaks fluent English, Dutch and Swedish, a bit of German and a bit of Finnish but every other language she sings in she learns the song phonetically. She's even sung the Dutch phone book and it was amazing. She's a once in a generation vocalist and performer. I've got to say Spanish is a lovely sounding language for a song... especially when Floor is rolling the sounds off her tongue!
I watched her on „Sing mein Song“ and in my opinion as a German speaker is that she is actually pretty fluent in German (only her pronunciation lacks a little bit because of her dutch accent but thats a minor problem)

Rolf's father is from the Dominican Republic and his mother is from the Netherlands. Henk played the Phantom in the Musical Phantom of the Opera and he is the reason Floor did this show. She saw him on TV when she was young sing the Phantom song and they sing that song together later on in the show. These are all Dutch singers from different genres and is not a competition. Each week a different one sits on the middle couch (where Rolf was) and the other singers sing a song to them. It can be one of their songs or a song that means something to them. Floor opened the show singing an Opera song, Vilja Lied, to Henk, in German. His mother used to sing that song to him when he was a boy.
And Samantha Lisa was spot on when she said she saw Henk looking at Floor like "Wow"! They've become close friends, and professionally he is still in awe of her.

This whole season of Beste Zangers was amazing. Floor because she is a metal singer was relatively unknown in her home country of the Netherlands. That changed dramatically after this season aired. As is explained elsewhere, they gather singers together and they sing to each other, It isn't a competition, but the performances are amazing. Floor was the star of the show, but the rest of the cast members were very noteworthy. This is a great rabbit hole for you to explore. You won't be disappointed Love from Florida USA.
Yes, that was Rolf Sanchez and he originally wrote the song as salsa. Floor handed him, quite possibly, the best version he had ever heard.... after his, of course, I think. She is just amazing! Amazing singer, Amazing songwriter, Amazing human being, and has so much beauty in everything she does as a person. I mean, look how dedicated she is to her fans. I've never, EVER, in years 51 years I've been alive, have seen or known of another artist so devoted to their fans. She reaches out to them as she did during this pandemic, keeps in touch, recorded covers to entertain us because playing out wasn't an option at the time, does livestreams, videos for the fans about her life. The point of the show is that established singers sing each other's songs in as many different genres as they can. You can guess Floor's level of performance in every song.

They're on RU-vid. Search for 'Beste Zangers season 2019'. That's the season Floor was on. You'll find a number of episodes in Dutch with English subtitles. Each is about 50 minutes long.
Floor is simply the best ....she can do it all..opera/disco/easy listening/rock/grunting In all languages finnish/swedish/german/spanish/dutch....jokingly they say even she can sing the phonebook which she funny enuf did for a dutch radio show!, best singer in the world is floor jansen withouth a doubt.all is sayd already about the beste zangers...2019 was the best season with a lot of gems in it ( ofcourse also the duet phantom of the opera with henk poort)
Yes, well, I guess you've figured out by now that the guy with the ear to ear smile on his face going crazy from the middle sofa is in fact Latin Music Star, Rolf Sanchez, and the song Floor is doing is his song. Rolf does a music style called Raggaeton. Floor took the song and made it her own and Rolf obviously loved it. This show, Beste Zangers 2019 is filled with great performances from not only Floor but from the other six Dutch musical artists as well. Each artists sings in a different style from the others, normally, but expand their music choices and move out of their comfort zones to sing for each other. It's literally the very best music based TV show I've ever seen AND, AND it's NOT a competition...just great singers singing great songs from and for other great singers. Floor does 6 solo songs and 2 duets on this show and they are all jaw dropping. And yes she does have a RU-vid channel of her own and there again does an amazing array of different styles of music. Whether she's a solo act or with Nightwish or performing with Epica or on one of the Ayreon projects or whatever, the woman is not normal compared to the rest of us and thank goodness for that.

Samantha, those other folks on the couch are other Dutch singers, Rolf Sanchez who is half Dutch and half Spanish thats his song Floor is singing but in a way he has never heard or thought of before.
You know I found your channel because of Aurora, but here you are with a reaction to another of my top 3 vocalists on the planet. It's Floor's opera training that allows her to do this. Even though opera itself is not really her thing, it's clear she took the lessons learned to sing opera, about pronunciation, and understanding the subject matter of what's being sung very seriously. On a side note, first time hearing you speak Spanish. It's quite different from what I hear regularly here in Texas, but very enjoyable to listen to.

Samantha, Hi, The gentleman in the white and black shirt, Rolf Sanchez wrote this song with his producer together. Rolf is a superstar in Latin America. The show is from the Netherlands and gave Floor a chance to finaly got recognized in her home country. I strongly recommend this show "Beste Zangers 2019" to you. Yes you really must find Floor's RU-vid channel where she sings covers, chats and gives vocal lessons. Yes on Beste Zangers there are 7 singers and each week one is sung to by other six. Floor brings some them to tears. Try Winner, I Don't Know A Thing About Love, Shallow (solo version), Mama, Vilja Lied, plus duet of Phantom of the Opera.
Look at some songs on this show from Rolf Sanchez. He is born in the Dom.Rep, but lives in the Netherlands already a while now.. He also did some spanish songs on this show..

Backstory behind this: Rolf Sanchez wrote this song. It’s a letter he wrote to his ex girlfriend who broke up with him. It ended up hitting #1 on the Latin charts for a good 8 weeks. Oh, and his version is Salsa. Floor wanted to sing this song for Rolf, as well as a thank you for all of her and Nightwish’s fans in South America, but couldn’t find a groove in the original to use. She can grove, but not dance or swing like salsa or Merengue. So instead of keeping to the original, she turned it into a Latin Power Ballad. It paid off: this was released as a single; it hit #1 in Argentina and Peru, and top 10 everywhere else in Central and South America.

Wanted to leave suggestions separately... Basically anything Floor has done on Beste Zangers. Vilja Lied (is in German), Phantom of the Opera (with Henk Poort), Winner, Euphoria, Shallow. Also a couple I believe she released herself. Her covers of Oblivion, and Alone (by Heart).
Same show, WINNER. I suggest doing a little backstory research on this one. Tim Ackerman wrote and performed this for his brother... I will leave it there.. the story is very moving. As far as I know, they are ALL on YT. She does Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort (the older gentleman on the set) and Vilja Lied (German aria... I believe), sung in German.
