This song is part of a larger story id recommend the entire album it’s about a cancer patient dying and reflecting on his life and acceptance of his death or openly conversing with death itself

I have heard this song thousands of times now, I always enjoy watching new people react at certain moments of the video and see how each moment makes them feel when they SEE it. I'm 2 years late but I've been making my rounds finally, thanks for reacting iKing.

The Black Parade is a rock opera centering around the character of "The Patient". It is about his passage out of life and the memories he has of it. "The Patient" dies and death comes for him in the form of a parade. This is based on singer Gerard Way's notion of death appearing to a person in the form of their fondest memory, in this case seeing a marching band as a child.

The whole The Black Parade album tells the story about a man ("The Patient") who was a soldier (the figure wearing the oxygen mask is called "Mother War") and now is dying from cancer and rethinking about his life, what he's done, and embracing death. Every MCR song is fantastic and having had the pleasure of hanging out with Mike and Gerard Way I can truly say they're extremely nice and genuine guys who deserve all the success they've had . When I met them it was during the 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge tour so it was before WTTBP but they were already huge in '04-'05 . MCR saves lives 🖤🖤🖤🖤 .
