YAY!!! I KNEW you would love it! This is part of a rock opera concept album about a dying (then dead) man referred to as "The Patient." People compare it to a modern day Bohemian Rhapsody. This is one of those songs I never get tired of. It was one of my kids' favorites when they were teens.

YESS thank you for immediately mentioning their use of progressive layering- it's one of the greatest aspects of their music to me and they do it VERY well. Please give this album a full listen even if you don't react- it's an absolutely perfect album start to finish!!!

MCR is great, & The Black Parade album is fantastic from start to finish. My all-time fave songs from them are "Helena" (from the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge album; love the video for this one, too) & "Famous Last Words". I think you'd probably really enjoy the song "Teenagers", tho.

When I was in a band a few years ago, we covered this song and then went straight into Famous Last Words at a talent show...we won 1st place of course. Needless to say, their music is absolutely amazing. My all time favorite of theirs would have to be I'm Not Okay (I Promise)

the guy in the hospital gown is actor lukas haas.i first saw him when he was playing an amish boy who witness a murder in the movie witness.with kelly McGillis(top gun)as his mum and harrison ford(han solo)as the cop who goes undercover. love this song! glad you did too.

I got my daughter and I floor tickets when they came to Vegas. It was AMAZING! If you like this song, check out the song "CANCER". It's an amazing song that touches anyone that's ever lost anyone to cancer. These guys are awe inspiring. Lyrics, music, presence...you name it, these guys have it.

This really is one of the most perfect anthems ever written. It reminds me so much of "Bohemian Rhapsody", in how epic and operatic it is, and I say that as the highest compliment! The whole album is a masterpiece, honestly! If you haven't covered them yet, may you please possibly react to "Sugar, We're Goin' Down", or "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs", by Fall Out Boy? I'd really appreciate it! They're another absolutely perfect band, and their music is just so much fun!

If I remember correctly this song was put as one of the top 500 songs that defined rock and roll. It is a legitimate Anthem on par with the likes of Bohemian rhapsody. One my requirements for my funeral is that this song must be played.

Not gonna lie. My Chemical Romance is not my normal style of music. Being in my 50s, I am more of an 80s man. A few years ago I heard this song and thought it was pretty good. Then I learned the deep meaning behind the song and I began to love it. Then I explored the entire Black Parade album and the meaning behind the entire concept. Before I knew it, I was an MCR fan...l. They have a TON of great music and this album, in my humble opinion is among one of the best albums out there. I took my son to see them in Oklahoma for the first show of their US tour last year and loved every minute.
