Kobayashi is the office lady with glasses and red hair, she met Tohru (the blonde maid), who's actually a dragon, in a peculiar way 😂 You should watch it, very sweet, wholesome, with some part that are a bit more mature about relationships 😊
It's a fun slice of life anime with some great action scenes. It's all about the relationships of some dragons with their humans, it's good for de-stressing imo.
I love Dragon Maid. It's actually pretty wholesome story wise, and very funny. There's just also fan service present 😂 And yes! The EDs are the voice actors. I love that some shows do that it's a really nice touch. 😄
Dragon maid is genuinely one of my favorite shows. It's the kind where I'll just randomly go back and watch it all over again. It's such a fun time. Yes it has fan service but it's so cute and wholesome.

This show is about Miss Kobashi, a programmer in regular office job, who one day (while drunk) comes across a wounded dragon from fantasy world. She is nice to the dragon (Tohru) and leaves. The next day Tohru shows up at her place transformed into a humanoid form and to express her gratitude she becomes Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (Miss Kobayashi is fan of the maid concept, but it must be proper maids, so she is not to happy with Tohru's cosplay driven maid outfit). Tohru also declares that Kobayashi is her mate. As times moves on more dragons that know Tohru show up (OK, her fault, she did enchant the telephone and called some of them when asking for advise ...). Those are Fafnir, who becomes the flat mate of coworker of Kobayashi who secretly is videogame otaku. Kanna Kamuy, a very young dragon whose legal guardian Kobayshi becomes and Kanna starts to go to Elementary School. Lucoa (Quetzalcoatl), a god and dragon who busts in on the an attempted demon summoning by a little boy who is part of wizard family that has taken refuge in our world and acts like an affectionate older sister to him while he thinks she is succubus out to corrupt him. Elma, a dragon from a rivaling faction and lot of history with Tohru who mainly stays in our world because she like the food and assumes a human identity of one of Kobayashi's coworkers (turns out the progamming language they use is similar to how magic in the other world functions ...). Later another dragon named Ilulu moves in with Kobayashi as well. There are also reoccuring human characters. The series is mainly a comedic slice of life, but has some surprisingly deep character development and time for tender feelings as well. I think my actual favorite is Kobayashi. Level-headed, kind, and hard working.
This is legit my favorite short anime, i've watched it at least 12 or 13 times already, was spamming it with replays when i needed to relax and clear my mind, it's just so wholesome and funny all along, give it a try if you can some day ! (plus there is some plot or emotionnal parts too, adding to the attachment of the characters and universe, especially in the second season)
This is a very fun slice of life, slight drama and beautifully animated show. You'd be surprised to here but it has some of the best fight scenes in anime while also having some of the cutest fun moments. Takes what's good with Slice of Life and adds a flair of whats good with Isekai anime and mixes them into one fantastic show.
Hey, Gaz! First of all, solid and enjoyable reactions from you. You seem like a really decent bloke so that just improves the watching experience for us, viewers. Secondly, not related to the video, but I really think that you should react to anime movie, 'Josee, the Tiger and the Fish.' It's easily one of the most beautiful, wholesome and heartfelt romance stories in all of media, not just anime. Its really a shame that the movie is so criminally unknown when compared to 'Your name', 'Silent voice' and other such titans or romance genre, because it is every bit as good as the best works anime medium has to offer. Also, I just have a good feeling that you would absolutely love that film. Just my opinion, but still. Anyways, I really hope you take this comment into consideration, and give that movie a watch. it's a really good slice of life show, personally haven't watched it but I can recommend from what I've seen. Day BOKU WA KIMI of asking for the Tsukihime/Melty Blood openings
It's alright! It's got a big fanbase, but it's not anything super special outside of an episodic CGDCT (cute girls doing cute things). If you're curious about CGDCT, i really recommend you check out bocchi the rock, yuru camp or yoremoi. I'd say they're probably the goats of the genre
A few months ago there was a music festival near where I lived where there was a performance of all four of these songs (as well as some Violet Evergarden music). I really wanted to go, but tickets were the equivalent of nearly £150 per person, and I just couldn’t justify it in the end. I’m still annoyed about it.

Kyoni returned after the horrific arson attack with season 2 of "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid". The scene in the OP of season 2 where Tohru and Miss Kobayashi decend onto the bridge 6:26 was a nod to those who lost their lives...I have actually stood in that very spot on that bridge.
Love this show....Miss Kobayashi's BEST GIRL...And have been lucky enough to have recently visited many of the real life locations used for the show...Sub not Dub..Always has been for me when it comes to anime.

People blow that shit way out of proportion. It's not that a big a deal to tell people not to watch it dub. It wouldn't have even stuck with him or just about anyone else if people weren't bitching about it this much and pretending they change the meaning and tone of the whole show
The version I heard was that the initial translation was okay, but someone else (who doesn’t speak Japanese) came along afterwards and edited the lines, under the guise of “matching the lip flaps”, completely changing the tone and meaning.
There was literally only one line in the entire thing that could be considered "woke". People love to overblow every goddamn thing. They didn't change the tone or meaning of the show whatever
@@ssickhead1 I think both sides of the argument have blown it out of proportion. I don’t think the change ruined the episode, as incels and incel-adjacent twitter eggs keep saying. But I also think the change was wholly unnecessary and went against the character’s personality* and the intent of the original writer, without sufficient justification. * (Potential spoilers) - In the original Japanese, the character is dressing modestly because she was getting disapproving stares when she dresses more comfortably, and is unsure that this new style suits her, so asks for the other character’s opinion. In the English dub, the character is dressing more modestly because of lecherous stares she was getting when she was dressing more sexily. She is more comfortable in this new style and doesn’t ask anybody’s opinion on it. Edit: edited because I pressed the commit button too soon.
@@odorikakeru the line isnt even important enough to be memorable. I only remember about it because people were bitching about. People act like it was somehow an important moment of the show they changed. It wasn't. It doesn't matter whatever. People did the same thing with My First Girlfriend is a Gal. They called out some guy for being a sexist creeper in the dub (which he was) and everyone lost their minds saying they were inserting their political agendas in the show and made it woke. And it's clear they didn't actually watch the show dub because the dub made the show even more extremely degenerate. They gave it the Ghost Stories treatment and abridgified it. Made the show way funnier and self aware, frankly way better than the Japanese version because the japanese version got some bad reviews saying it was boring and skipped a lot of manga content. The english dub of that show is the only thing that makes that show worth watch thing, made the girls much more hoelike than ever, made everyone say some outlandish crap but the one time they go to the other end of the spectrum THAT'S what people notice? THAT'S somehow now the 'tone and meaning' of the WHOLE show now? Not the other 99.9% of peak that the rest of it is?
@@ssickhead1 Well, the problem here and now is that you are getting just as worked up about it as the original complainers, and that isn’t benefiting anyone. I’m more annoyed about the absurd generalisations people are making. How apparently it’s “all” localisers who are “always” inserting woke messages into localisations. When they are asked to back up their assertions they always bring up this example, and maybe one or two others, before devolving into really petty quibbles and non-examples. The problem is that young fans today aren’t interested in putting in even the token effort to learn the small amount of Japanese you’d need to know when subs and subs are deviating from the original Japanese (which happens a =lot= more often than they think, weakening their argument). Playing Devil’s Advocate for a bit, though: unless they are using the original footage to great a new and different work (either the Ghost Stories route or the Cardcaptors route), a localiser’s job should be to convey the original writer’s intent as closely as possible, and changes should really only be made to avoid confusion or to fit time constraints (and “lip flaps” in the case of dubs).
