Hey Braxton, Good videos!! Just to let you know. The pliers your using are called slip joint pliers. Try opening your pliers all the way, then slip the jaws up & down to the size you need. Hope this helps. Keep up the Good Work Brian

Dude, I feel the exact same way as Blair & K9 Thor. My son and I work on our Jeeps together the same way. I have a JK and he has an XJ. We tackle the work like you do and it's great to see a "real" person persevere through it. It's never as easy as so many RU-vidrs makes it out to be! Keep at it man and before you know it people will go to you for advice.

Dude... Your doing great, we all learn as we go be that when 10 or 50... And the more you work on things the more you know. Crescent wench Teflon tape on threads... But you knew Dielectric grease and most wouldn't know things like that. Look forward to seeing you on the trails sometime.

Dude it's really refreshing to see a newbie learn 4x4 vehicle stuff showing faults and all. Your doing good. Trail fixes are use the tools you have, channel locks? Try and not use them on nuts or bolts. Ha!

I honestly think it's good showing the perspective of "not-a-mechanic" Not everyone would know what to do or how to do it and watching someone else learn can let others know it's ok, they're not alone in not knowing. That being said . . . might be good to watch those how-to videos before trying to tackle the task 😉

Save yourself some time and money and get a TEKTON metric set. It's a jeep so most everything is metric and you get deep and standards sockets up to 24mm. Saves you money and a quality set. I got tired of having everything loose in my tool bag. Its the best set on the market and you have everything you need in one kit. Glad your keeping the xj project going man!

On the rotors jeep made a police version that has bigger rotors. That's why you recieved bigger rotors.

Go to lowes and buy the 200 piece kobalt set. I just bought a 98 xj myself man, and am getting ready for a teardrop or pop-up camper. Road trip this summer

I take it your Jeep is a 96. I see the newer body style with the older connectors and headliner. That would explain some of the sensor connectors not lining up. You'd either need 86-96 or 97-01 sensors

For your rotors in 99 in 2000 they did a composite rotor which had a shorter top hat to it there were actually 3 different rotors that you could get for that vehicle I ran into the same problem with mine autozone does sell the correct one look it up for a 99 composite rotor and I think it will help you out

Go take a look at @NickInTimeFilms. He has a lot of vids on working on a XJ without a garage. Like a alternator relocation, and other mods.

HI I Think You Should Take Your Tool Set Back & Get A Better Totaly Complete Set Cause if Your Out Broak Down Some Where How Are You Going To Fex Anything You'll Be Stranded , But Just Hope You Never Will Need Them ,And Maybe Watch 4WD24/7 OR TRIL RECON & They Use Mostly Just Jeeps & Try To Get A CHILTONS Shop Manual there around $ 25.00 Good Luck
