Here's the problem with Jaby's impatience. Let's say you found out why Omni Man did what he did early. The rest of the show you're waiting for the other characters to catch on, then you're going to get frustrated on having to wait for the characters to catch up. It's no longer a mystery and you're left getting impatient with their ignorance. The less said about his take on Battle Beast the better.

Marvel and it's constant spoonfeeding jellies the brain as witnessed. The show is an adaptation of the comic which has many large arcs that play out over time. It's okay to express impatience, but to judge the show negative while it's weaving multiple mysterious plot lines together is a bit much.

I dont think they ever established a "day job" so to speak for Omni man. But at some point they do establish that he wrote several travel books earned him a good living. Which I think is very clever because obviously when you can travel 800 mph you can see the entire world all the time.

some fun things you may have not noticed: the gangsters in the beginning were korean, which is awesome cause you dont really see asian gangsters a lot if ever in animation. yeah a few times in films here and there but much less so now and usually only in L.A. so that was cool. also the school is named after the actor who played the dad in family matters. reginald (the actor) also did the voice of the principal.

They are def dropping hints about what Omniman’s deal is, and I think if you go back through the show after the reveal, there’s quite a few things now that you seem to be overlooking or, which is surprising to me, spinning into something positive, that you will think about differently. Also, Atom Eve’s dad’s attitude…I feel like usually the trope is a mother in a family that is poorer, in olden times, who urges her daughter to overlook the rich suitor’s faults because he’s such a catch. I do think this type of white dad still exists in the US today, though…(started to write about it but it made this post too long…so I leave it here).

Is no one gonna talk about the fact that every time Mark enters this “rage” usually someone starts bleeding? The flaxan leader for example wound up bleeding all over himself or Magmaniac or whatever the heck his name was wound up being torn in half. This is a regular thing that happens in Invincible and it won’t be the last time either. Think of the kinds of situations that occur that the writer of The Walking Dead would have Mark do during his bouts of blind anger

Battle Beast is one of the most brutal, savage and badass comic characters I’ve ever seen. Also I don’t hold any bad blood for Titan at all, he is a good guy deep down, he absolutely will run the city better, and with machine head out someone needs to fill the power vacuum so I’d rather it be him. And he never did lie to Invincible, nor did he “use” him. If you were in his position what would you have done?

He absolutely did use Invincible to gain his new position. He could have simply walk away, like he misled Invincible into thinking he was doing. But you are right that he never actually lied, only mislead.

Battlebeast is like the 3rd strongest character ever in the comics. He is stronger than every viltrumite except for one viltrumite that will appear later on. Battlebeast would've wiped the floor with Omni man if he stepped in. Battlebeast could arguably be the number 2 above the viltrumite I mentioned above because when he had lost to that viltrumite he was already injured prior to the fight so he mightve been able to beat him if he was in tip top condition.

tbh, "this battle is beneath me" is a very cliche phrase that is mostly used by villains who run away after getting owned. Plus he said it and teleported away in like 5 sec, it was comically fast. When I first watched the show, this moment felt off. The fact that it happened right after the heroes teamed up doesn't help it either. It was executed very poorly.

I don't think Omni Man knew about Battle Beast. If he knew that Battle Beast was much stronger than him, he probably would've tried to rescue his son. Which frankly would've made things worse, since he would engage Battle Beast and get everyone and himself killed

It's unfortunate he's so frustrated by Omni-Man, when he almost immediately figured it out with the Goku reference. It's what would have happened if Krypton hadn't exploded. Eve's father was definitely her real father. That's why she was with Rex. Because that was her male role model growing up. Yeah, it's a conservative white guy thing. Wow, this episode was amazing. I didn't want it to end because it was giving me everything I wanted in an animated show. I'd be watching the next episode right now if I didn't want to see your reactions to the episode first. Atom Eve's father is a total piece of crap. If I had children and someone did something wrong to them I'm not telling them to let it slide. I'd hope I teach my children well enough to kick them to the curb immediately. I'm not mad at Titan for how he played the situation. I can't say that I wouldn't do what he did for my future children to have a chance at a better life, but just like him I'm not a bad guy so I would make changes in the way business is done and only use extreme measures when it came to criminal elements. Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍✌out.

Amber so clearly only got interested with Mark because there was talk about him going out with Eve. The only reason she exists in the story is to introduce romantic tension so we get a better payoff when Mark eventually dates Eve. Too bad the tv show version was written to be obnoxious and annoying, not to mention a genuinely horrible person.

Battle beast is the 2nd strongest person in the comics. Thragg I think is the name being the 1st. (Leader of viltrimites) it says a lot that mark even survived at all given how hard battle beast can actually hit. Granted I know in the show they change things around some to balance fights out some.

28:04 Well that's the thing about not knowing why, because literally no one in the show knew why, everybody is trying to figure it out, and if you watched closely enough Omniman lets a lot of his intentions slip out throughout the show and you can piece it together

I mean, it's nice that you haven't heard of that in regards to the way Atom Eve's father talked to her. It means that in your life and in the people you've known personally in their lives they haven't had to experience that kind of abuse from a parent. The thing is though, that kind of stuff does happen. More than you realize. I think it's also disingenuous to say it's white people stuff. This happens to all kinds of families regardless of ethnicity. I have known many people with parents who have done and said worse than what Atom Eve's father has said in this episode. I knew someone who was sexually assaulted, and their parents and their community blamed them. They were 7. What Atom Eve's father said was tame compared to reality. Edit: I'm also not saying the first thing I said sarcastically. I think it's great that there are people who haven't experienced these traumatic events in their lives. If it was up to me no one would. I just think it's incredibly harmful to disregard these things as unrealistic because you haven't experienced them yourself. It can lead down a path of not believing victims or dismissing their claims. All claims should be taken seriously no matter how unrealistic they may first seem. Our personal biases can blind us to reality. And to be extra clear, I'm not saying you should always believe what someone says to be true, just that you shouldn't immediately dismiss it before it's examined just because it initially doesn't match up with your expectations of reality.
