Kurama's fight scenes are the highlight of this show. The actor did such a great job

Every character seems accurate enough from their anime/manga counter parts. Bui, big axe dude, seems to have a longer grip on his axe in the live action, in the anime his axe blade was way bigger taking most of the top half of the axe. Also Kurama's name is already a give away to what kind of yokai he was. Kurama means fox spirit. But Kurama is actually a Kitsune, which is a mythological creature in japanese folklore that is known for it's transformation abilities.

Quick Cuts in fight scenes are usually done to hide that the actor can't fight. Whatever you say about the rest of this the actors did try and do a lot of training to get these fights in

Yeah usually not having lots of cuts is good. It works for Bourne but comes off bad in say the iron fist show. Also this show feels like mortal kombat movie 1 not bad campy and lost the subtle stuff of the show. To be fair could be worst look at dbz movie live action. Or avatar airbender. We may need to temper our expectations one piece was good but not mindblowingly budget helped. Rohini Kensihin was great.

The actor knows how to fight, he's been in a lot of action movies and played ToqGer 1 red ranger of the sentai series.

There's a line explaining why Kurama reverted back. I believe the guy being wrapped (I forgot his name) said, "no more life energy?" Which makes sense since they're in a warehouse surrounded by concrete. I don't know if that's the exact quote or not.

That guy had poisonous blood. That plant feeds on the prays... as it is connected to Kurama, Kurama got poisoned. He also had a Yokai form like Kurama.. but they didn't show it here
