Tbf i dont watch movies like this guy ngl like the only time i see a movie is if my homie forces me to or vids like this😭💀 like ive technically never watched this movie only reactions to it😭
There's so many cool little details in this movie. - Death first appears in the crowd when Puss is fighting the giant. - Jack Horner collects unicorn horns and the unicorns pulling his carriage are missing theirs. - Death's whistle is comprised of 8 notes, symbolizing Puss' 8 previous lives. - Goldi's outfit changes from colorful to dirty and brown to match her realizing the bears are her true family
If you pause during Goldi's wanted poster when all 4 characters are in frame you get a secret message giving you a clue to her goals. Also during the giant fight the bell he uses rings 8 times total. The 8th time is when it lands on puss's 8th life. To say nothing of the disturbing things hidden in perrito's map..
This is undoubtedly the best modern DreamWorks movie ever, If the recent movies had that similar formula like Puss in Boots, Then they would be amazing as well but unfortunately movies like Kung Fu Panda 4 and even even the return Megamind have been treated terribly.
This map reflects their fear and darkness in their hearts. Puss has a fear of death, Kitty has a fear of loneliness, but Perro is pure, because he is happy about everything.
@@Zero.xk1 "Pocket Full of Posies" - little nursery rhyme is an analogy for the Black Death/The Plague. "River of Relaxation" - More than likely a reference to the river his owners tried to drown him in. “Quick and Easy Solutions”- Suicide
Perrito definitely knows what happened to him, he calls himself an orphan when he’s with the bears. That’s also why he has no wish instead of wishing to find his family, because he knows they wouldn’t take him back.
He is seriously the coolest villain Dreamworks created. Due to the fact he's not actually a villain, his job got messed with multiple times by this one cat and he's tired of it. He's just a guy who wants to finish the job.
Favorite fact about this movie: If you slow it down, Puss actually hit's death with his very first attack in the bar, His sword just fazes through him!
I love how Death is a wolf in this film. It also makes sense because, in Greek mythology, Thanatos- the Greek God of Death- hunted any souls that escaped from the Underworld, and wolves are hunters. He also guides the recently deceased to the Underworld
Puss called himself "The Fearless Hero", but with his last, he faced Death again now he felt something that he hadn't for a long time, "Fear", Fear of Death, death has always been there in Puss' death if you watch at the corner at the numbers of Puss' death, you can see Death. And in the final fight of Puss vs Death, Puss is no longer The Fearless Hero but a "Brave Hero".
My favorite line was one of Death's; "¿Por qué diablos fui a jugar con mi comida?", or in English "Why the hells did I play with my food?" Death was such an amazing Antagonist, and I believed the Bounty Hunter thing at first myself.
I'm so glad I didn't figure him out until he revealed it. That scene was awesome and knowing would have made it much less so. I'm usually able to clock stuff like that, guess I was too busy watching how much of a badass he is every time he was onscreen!
35:44 Honestly I don’t think making a wish to get rid of the Wolf would’ve worked, he’s probably beyond the scope of its power. My evidence for this mainly being the fact that he doesn’t show up on the map. When Goldie picks up the map after Puss runs off, you can see basically everyone on it EXCEPT for the Wolf.
We also see him casually tank what is believed to be a wall of straight Existence Erasure when he walks onto the Star. So yeah, probably beyond its power.
He probably wouldn't have time to say the wish in the first place. He needed to recite the whole poem before saying the wish. Would death had let him? It is a good question honestly.
Can you please react to the Saban’s Power Rangers 2017 Movie!!! You may look at the name and think it is childish and cheesy. But it is hilarious and shows the growth of friendship and trustworthy. I swear it is a must watch!! Actors: Dacre Montgomery - played billy in stranger things, Naomi Scott - played princess jasmine in live-action Aladdin Movie, Becky G - sings shower.
Honestly the only thing you're missing from the first movie is a couple jokes and references, and Kitty's intro as a character. Otherwise, completely separate and not needed, so no worries.
There are a few callbacks you would have recognized had you watched the first Puss in Boots film first: - The "OOoooh..." cat at Mama Luna's - The gravity-defying tapdance Kitty and Puss did to retrieve the map But that's it. The first film is an "origin story" and doesn't connect to this one at all (beyond the appearance of Kitty Softpaws).
This movie has no business being as good as it is. Death is seriously the coolest villain that Dreamworks have ever created. Honestly blew my mind watching this film.
I honestly believe that Kitty was lying about not showing up to the wedding. She was way to bitter about it for not having showed up. But she wanted to give Puss a pass. Put them back on shared footing and give him a proper second chance.
You probably should have seen the first one, Kitty Softpaws was declawed as a kitten so with her extra soft paws shes a theif you cant even feel stealing from your bare hands
True, I think he should've watched the other two Shrek movies as well, but the those aren't really that important as first Puss in Boots movie is to Puss' story bc of the introduction of Kitty, and I personally find Humpty Dumpty to be a funny character for DreamWorks to choose.
Leeches were used amongst other (to modern medical standards) outdated practices as a method of balancing the “humors” which consisted of yellow bile (illnesses that caused jaundice and also vomiting), black bile (cancer and depression ), phlegm (sinuses, STDs, sweating, etc.) , and blood (fevers and hyperactivity) It was used as a method of “balancing “ these humors to treat ailments. These were used as early as Ancient Greek and Roman physicians until the 19th century. Blood letting was also used as methods to break fevers and help someone recover from various illnesses where fever would prove fatal. Today we use medications derived of chemicals found in medicinal alternatives that help increase the immune system response. I could go on but this comment is long enough already 😅
I love how you kind of learn to fear the wolf over the story. We know from the opening scene just how deadly he is. He just wrecked puss who just got done felling a giant, but from then on we only see the wolf at a distance and knowing he is still out there. We remember each time how deadly he is because of that first scene. So when he appears right in puss's face in the cave it is genuine fear for both him and the audience.
I can say that this movie was so much fun and crazy that it broken the box office. 😄 Also the animation seems to be a nice touch being influenced by “Spider-Verse” movie or more of Graphic Novel animation. Either way, it works so well. Also this might be interesting to state that “Death” was at the beginning during the Puss v Giant Fight where he being in the cheering crowd but he can be seen at the alley way in the crowd.
One of my all time favourites. Such a beautiful and well written movie. Animation and style is super fun to watch, plus the soundtrack is beautiful. The panic attack scene gets me every time, reminds me of when I had one cause my mental health is crap. The final battle at the end with Death… one of the best battles in all of Dreamworks. Love this movie. ❤
Cool fact, as pointed out by one well known reviewer, if you freeze on the image of Goldy's open fairytail book and read the first letter of every line on the page it says 'You already have it' followed by '...and they lived happilly ever after'. ;)
I believe that if Puss wished for his lives back then Death would take it upon himself to kill him all nine times. Throughout the movie he could have killed Puss at any time but he gave him a chance to run. Death was infuriated that he wasted so many lives when most people only get one, while Puss didn't respect any of his. He wanted to kill Puss to put an end to it but I feel like he intentionally left a path open for him to spare Puss's life. And that was learning to respect and live your life. A chance to run and learn is all it takes sometimes. Despite his menacing presence, mannerisms, and intentions being conveyed he still takes his job very seriously and won't take someone if there is no need
Idk if a lot of people just dont notice it or if they dont care to point out. But the poker scene he had 5 aces. Which is why they were pissed. A deck of cards only has 4
To elaborate on the milk thing. Pretty much all mammals (including humans) become lactose intolerant when they become adults. Humans are a bit strange as there are some who don’t actually become lactose intolerant because of a rare gene I think. Humans when they become adult have different levels of lactose intolerance. Milk is necessary for mammals when they are young but not so much when they grow up. So yes it’s bad to give adult cats milk.
This is one of the movies that was not what I expected it to be. Some of the movies include,(which I would also like you to react to) are: Real City Heroes: Sergeant Cooper, My Little Pony 2017 Movie, A Lullaby For a Princess/The Moon Rises. I really want you to react to Sergeant Cooper, my sister loves these series. This is a kid series, but I don't mean like little, I mean like 10 or 12 years old.
imagine growing up not hearing basic european nursery rhymes and not understanding aaaany of the references in this movie xD didnt even get mary poppins' bag or goldilocks
@@climbingamountain86 not really. They were always things we learned in primary school here in the states when I was young. They dont really teach/sing them anymore
@@mmkay3296 Guess the culture's in the states is fading away. In our country there are still fairytales being told to children, but more through parents and grandparents than schools.
@@mmkay3296 Im sixteen and i know all of the references from the nursery rhymes, because those are the most basic and common stories that everyone knows?? But maybe thats because im from Europe? Everyone my age knows goldilocks, the little cookies from alise in wonderland, the golden hand, mary poppins bag and so on. Do younger people from the states really not know these?
Arent you guys noticed that at the end when puss and kitty n perro/perrito when they on the boat then puss said that they gonna start new adventure and meet his olds friends and the island that they want to go is far far away and we know that shrek live in that island that could be shrekk 5 coming and guess what the ceo confim it that shrek 5 coming in 2025 but we dont know the date release
Apparently cats are lactose intolerant. I never heard of this until like a couple of years back and have often given my cats milk, but they have never shown any signs of it. So, until I hear a source I trust I’ll leave it as a maybe and just play it safe.
Visually, this looks better that the first film and any of the Shrek films, both animation and artstyle, you can pause any moment and still look like a detailed artwork.
good detail is that you can see dead standing amongs the people when puss is fighting giant at the start right before puss died proving that he watched puss this entire time ( you can see him standing at 7:07 in the top left when watching the movie ) and there are a lot more hiden things showing that he was watching through out the film
Its strange I feel like I've seen this movie before it even existed, I think it just speaks to all of us in various forms of nostalgia and memories of our past and the fairy tales we vaguely recall. I can't think of another movie thats as perfect as this one.
Yeah all cats are lactose intolerant and therefore can’t have milk. Most mammals aren’t able to digest milk from other species, especially after being winged offed the teat
I'm already glad of Perrito saves Puss from his traumatized. Perrito is therapy dog. Puss is like Shrek. Kitty is like Fiona. Perrito is like Donkey. I hope they meet Artie in Shrek 5.
1:30 A lot of cats are lactose intolerant, yes. But mostly it's dairy milk that they say to avoid, other milks suck as goat milk are fine. It's one of the common myths the media has fed us, two more examples is feeding ducks bread and giving rabbits carrots. You shouldn't feed ducks bread because it's full of things bad for them, or give rabbits a carrot because too much sugar can kill them.
It's not exactly untrue, just exaggerated. Ducks do love bread, and some types are okay to be fed to them, and carrots are liked by rabbits, its just not something they're used to eating a lot of so it can fuck them up. Kinda like the whole "cats can have a LITTLE salami" thing.
