Wow Ryan. Absolute respect for that one. 42 miles on tarmac doing 4 mile loops in the heat….😮wow. The mental toughness you must have is amazing. But then to recover so quick and back to training shows what great physical shape you are in too. Looking forward to seeing what else 2023 has in store for you

Congrats! Still 10 hours! What do you think of the format compared to normal ultras? I feel I would miss the "adventure" part of a regular trail, if that makes sense. Even 20 miles loop isn't exactly my thing. But curious to try a backyard ultra once, just to see...

Yes, definitely miss some of the "adventure" that a normal ultra provides, but these backyard ultras are a really good test. They fool you in the first 6-7 hours being so 'easy' and then they start to get harder. Can get complicated if weather is an issue too. Definitely think I gained a lot from this one and will do another!
