I start teaching 5th grade in August! I ran across your vlog and, like a good student (lol), have been taking notes! I taught kdg, 1st, 4th and 9th grades but realized I left my heart in upper elementary so I'm headed back! :) Thank you for all the tips/ tricks and to help me remember my identity is much more than a teacher; ALWAYS PRIORITIZE FAMILY TIME! :)

I always look up "classroom playlist" "clean music" etc and just save the ones I like! "Classroom 2023 hits" and I alternate between them!

I know some schools require classroom/school expectations, but I always feel this this is a waste of time bc after the 2nd day of school no-one follows them. And then you have this poster in your room taking up space for no reason!!

We have a day where students are let out at 1 instead of 3 each week and we either have a PD or teacher directed time :)
