live in destin, if you set up the right rig pull over on the bridge across from the harbor district, the bridge has crap tons of bait fish across norrieggo point, jetty's across from norrieggo point as well
Would you say its better than the west jetty, or just leas crowded? I used to gish the east jetty when i was stationed there. I never ventured out on the west one
@@TheLawlessTide boo. Thanks for the reply. I just found your channel, and it's a trip down memory lane. Great work! I especially enjoy the honks and bloopers. I can totally relate. What's a fishing trip without several missed bites, tangles, and a little blood?
Max Townley I was having the most luck with the hard tails on a small 1/4 oz silver spoon. I was actually targeting Spanish but those dang hard tails wouldn’t let the Spanish hardly get close to it, lol.
The Lawless Tide I’m going this Thursday and would like to catch live bait and rig up some lines on my heavy duty Penn. think I should fish bottom with cut bait or live top water ?
Max Townley depending on what Hurricane Michael does, I would think swimming out some live bait would kill it this time of year. There definitely should be some Bull reds around there and no telling what else. Almost always some sharks there to catch to. Good luck and be safe with that hurricane coming.
I had the most luck on the ole standby Gotcha with a chartreuse head, and a silver casting spoon for the Spanish. Those damn hardheads would hit a paperclip with a hook attached I think. Im sure a 3/4 ounce pink, white, or chartreuse ducktail jig would kill it there. I've talked to guys that have caught Kings, Mahi, and Bonita off that tip.
