Fisker’s Bankrupt EV: Real Owners React | A Fisker Owner’s Association Round Table 

I was walking in downtown NY, Saw a Fisker. Gave the driver a thumbs up. We had a nice chat. I told him I bought stock before Fisker went Bankrupt. He told me he bought bought 3500 Fiskers. It was the guy that bought Fiskers for the Uber lease fleet. Nice guy.

You could've found a more diverse group of owners.

Adam, you should have stuck with your Clarity, I’ve got over 40,000 miles on my 2021, no issues at all. Thank you for your great Clarity videos , they helped me to decide to get it!

For ONE owners: No more warranty, no promised software, no free replacement tires and of course parts and service. Not complete for the price that was paid. Chase and Fisker have to make us whole if we want to keep driving with a non safe unwarranted new car. This is not right. I do love the car but it is not worth the price and insecurity going to work and depending on it without worries.

A former Fisker Tech from Portland replaced my vents by himself and took about 2.5-3 hrs.

Good discussion & perspectives. I just wish you or Brian pointed out his situation is very different given his purchase was post firesale… That said, I’m Grateful to have gotten out when I did. Lost $30k but made new lifelong friends, was inspired to start a new passion project (YT channel), and transitioned to another new EV I would never have considered otherwise. I still feel for those owners stuck in the Ocean.

I consider the FOA the best institute to fight for Fisker owners we currently have right now (talks about beeing to establish something better in better way etc. would be just an academic discussion). One of many point where Ii see the benefits is the way of flow of the information - guided flow is what is very necessary as more and more people join those various fisker related social groups (reddit, other web portals, twitter, fb , each having geo related versions etc...). The more people and more fragmentation leads to oversulpluss of information and its duplicity. One example: I myself, being located in central europe, have been trying to find a way to establish a supply for front windshield (after few phone calls and email) knowing that supplier was Saint Gobain (after small investigation I found out that Polish branch factory producd them). The issue was that same efforts have been done by FOA...knowing that I would do the business connection with the manufacturer on behalf of FOA or I would leave it entirely to FOA to avoid unnecessary duplicity (sometimes even harmful) :-)

Not a diverse population based on other data. When looking at the comments in the FOA boards, there are 615 comments and 12.4k views in the Fisker Finance Chase arbitration and 100 comments and 2.3k views on next steps for sustainable parts and finally 41 comments and 1.5k views in the survey of US FOA members for the 2.1 update. Clearly this data is a piece of the pie that should be reviewed in the next episode. I didn’t even touch the bricked FOO comments and views.

The Fisker O.A. hopefully transform in a business entity with purpose of keeping the Oceans on the road, sustainable for a long time to come. Think 50 yrs old Mercedes still going strong.

Lol, the woman, had no “real” issues, only a near crash on the highway when the breaks wouldn’t work, already replaced the 12V, had the vents replaced, and one blinker doesn’t work, but “loves” the car.

I paid $1200 2 months ago to buy a fob and have it programmed at Fisker Indy, not to mention that I had to drive my car from Nashville.

EV batteries can be fixed in most cases so let’s keep it cool about the cost of a new battery for replacement. There will also be second hand batteries.

Where is the class action. We need restitution, someone needs jail time! FOE owner in Savannah. Waited 5 months for proper tag and title on all cash transaction. Put 350 miles on it and saw the end coming and got out in trade value weeks before Chapter filing. Lost over $30K for 350 miles of stressful use.

Get a spare Key fob cloned now. You can't clone it when it's missing or damaged.

Excellent video. As an owner of two EVs with frequent OTA updates and service centers 20 miles away for both, I'm fascinated to hear from Fisker owners that have so little support. It takes some mental gymnastics to believe your raft in the middle of the pacific will be rescued before it bricks and sinks.

Very interesting about OEM fitted tyres - I found out the same thing with my 2020 LR Defender - the OEM “recommended” upgrade offroad tyre was the Goodyear Duratrac but they had sidewalls made of cheese that suffered badly from pinch flats………. the tyre supply company I use recommended changing to the non-approved version of the same tyre. Why? Well in LR stamped spec there is no reinforcement in the side wall but in the unstamped version there is additional reinforcement and they have the added bonus that the unstamped tyre has a higher speed rating! I replaced tyres due to pinch flats and slashed sidewalls way sooner than they wore out the treads!

The owners manual is available on your center screen. She is right about delivery, my delivery driver knew next to nothing about the vehicle. He was nice enough, but he was exhausted from driving from NJ to VA and his main concern was going to eat dinner at a local restaurant.

Hi Adam, again appreciate very much you for bringing up the hot topics that we crave the answers for. As I'm Europe based and many addressed topics also relate to EU based FO owners some things that concern only Europe: what about Data providers in EU, or has been T-Mobile globaly contracted to provide a data service ...or in case there is a US Fisker Ocean in EU, will it get SW updates , or as Fisker has been manufactured in EU does it mean that spare parts would be more accessible here etc.?

I just replaced my OEM tires this past weekend at just less than 12,000 miles. Pretty disappointed in those Bridgestone tires. I rotated my tires at 5,000 miles so I was surprised how poorly the performed. I ended up buying Michelin Crossclimate 2 and paid $1600+ for 20” at Discount Tires.

Wow she got her vents replaced before the original broke. All 4 of mine were broke. Had service tickets in for months before Fisker went bankrupt. Never got vents, never got service. The biggest differnce honestly, I am in VA. Those out west, specifically in CA, you had access to service.

You are now hitting on the reasons why I sold my FOO. I was and am inwilling to pay additioanal $$ on it. Not willing to pay for FOA membership, parts, cloud service, T-mobile, TomTom, etc.

They still want more the 42k for a used Fisker Here in Switzerland!:(

I have broken vents permanently aimed at my knees. My solar roof does not open anymore. Other than these annoyances the car is functional. However, living in SoCal with the sun toasting me, the vent issue is a big deal as a burning head and torso and frozen knees makes me sick on long drives. Due to finances I will get a new car in 1 year. I hope to rip the battery out and use it as a whole house battery. Looking for help on the battery plan.

I'm curious where you source your subjects from? I've now owned the car longer than almost anyone, have 25K+ on the odometer, and you seem to go to the same well of "real owners" for your videos.

For the cloud discussion, that 170 per month should be analyzed. Exploring the true need, and what are service alternatives. With thousands of Fisker owners, certainly a much solution and (way) more affordable should be possibles

Have not had any attempts on the 2.2 update , I do have the 2.0 but it came with it when I bought it . What do I need to do to get that update .

With all the issues these cars have had, we have zero reason to trust the battery is of any better quality than so many other cheap and/or failing parts of it.
