Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise Nintendo Switch Review - Is It Worth It? 

So let me get this straight. You pay these instructors to put you through an intensive workout only to be rewarded by buying them cool clothing. Makes sense.

It has the fundamental feel of a daily workout but lacks a relative gaming aspect to really reward the player beyond their own self satisfaction. It would be cool if Instead of the theme being fitness trainers, it was more focused on the theme of boxing by having a variety of characters that you wouldn't normally see wearing boxing gloves. That along with having a better library of music of course. If they really wanted to go all out they could add online functionality that allows players to compare their progress to other's.

I never had the first Fitness Boxing game, I started with 2. I’ve been enjoying it, good way to keep in shape and stay active. Been playing it a lot more than Ring Fit Adventure

Personally muting the music, and putting fighting /beatemup/ battle music from all the games I've ever played is what keeps me coming back. It's like your there.

First type of fitness game I’ve purchased, having worked out prior to COVID and then falling off and gaining weight against since, I can sincerely say this will get your heart beat going. Even at 200 pounds and being 5’9, I go for the no mercy, and fast versions of the songs to truly mimic a real workout. At the end of the day it’s on the player. If you take it serious and follow proper form and breathe out with every punch as you’re supposed to, you’ll be hyping yourself at the end because it definitely will take your stamina. like I said though, it’s up to you to keep moving your legs back and forth as well and just making it a good time. Don’t be stiff. 😊

You know what would make a difference? Make it more like Ring Fit. Give me enemies to battle (Arms, anyone?), or make the quicktime events more entertaining by throwing in different elements. There could be a mode where you have to box falling fruits (Fruit Ninja), or, well, ANYTHING that actually entertains!

The should have an option to remove the stages and have a blank background. There's too many flashy annoying colors which are very distracting.

It would be dope if they added a BPM indicator so you can play to your own music or different mic sensitivity.

I'm so glad I watched this before I ordered this. I was under the impression that this was a fighting game that let's you box actual opponents while getting exercise. I can do all of this in my mirror lol.

been using the demo lately and I gotta say I'm enjoying it a lot... Ring Fit I'm sure is much better overall but it's a heftier price tag. I just want something that I can boot up for 10mins each morning to get the blood pumping (ideally to darude - sandstorm)

You can set music volume to zero and play your own music. There, infinite music possibilities.

I bought this game a week ago and have been playing everyday. I even got my wife to play with me now as well and it has become a great daily routine. It’s not perfect but I definitely think this is a great game!

They should have put a little Mac Easter egg or something in this

Having been playing this for a month or so, I've gone back to FB1. FB2 is much more gamified and motivating. But, its workouts seem easier and don't build to a crescendo as well. And while FB1 drops frames every now and then on some backgrounds, FB2 slows down on all of its backgrounds (to differing degrees). You actually have to slow your punch rate down when its doing all its fancy background effects. Apart from being a bit annoying, it also means the combos at the end of a routine are easier than they should be because they are slower than they should be.

With the addition of No Mercy DLC, this is a brilliant purchase for anyone who has a Switch and wants to get in better shape. It's not enough on it's own, but if you add this to the mix of activities you do, it'll make a great difference.

Love the version 2. I prefer this one over the one with the Fitness ring adventure.

Sandstorm is in it? I'm sold. Good review. I do plan on getting it after this and playing the demo. Now I can switch between RFA and this. Although the motion controls really mess with my head when I throw punches since I know how to punch. Just have to gam-ify my punches and problem solved.

I have always played the original with my own set of music because god the pop song they had were not cutting it.

Awesome. A game like this would benefit from a... Switch motion plus. Like wii motion plus for Switch. Giving options for fit boxing 3? Huh... Neat.

As someone who played the first game every day for four months, meeting the punch goals of the first game was rather easy.

A lot of thins missing in this video. You are too negative. 1) There are also setting to remove certain moves that sometimes yoo difficult to get accurate like weaving, ducking etc. 2) the trainers are more lively and have more gestures. I just tried for less than an hour and been using FB1 for a year. You can feel a little different experience in FB2.

My only complaint is theres only easy and hard in free training I can do 4 min or 12 and I'd really like a nice 7 in the middle

Never played the first game, but we got this one. I have no complaints. My girlfriend hates working out but she loves this game. It's very fun and it can kick your ass.

I would say that Ring Fit is overall a better videogame and exercise tool, however Fitness Boxing 2 is typically half the price of Ring Fit and it's still more than competent at what it sets out to do

"Customising trainers." how many punches do you have to throw to unlock the breast enhancement and pants bulge customisation? With the option to do both, since it's 2020.

One thing they should have improve is the warm up/cool down. Doing the same one each time is really boring. Why not include some variations, like in Ring Fit? I'll still play the game (love some boxing!), but they should have improve things more for the 2, and not only the songs offering...

I pondered between buying the first one or ring fit adventure when it came out last year and decided to buy the latter. Didn't last more than a week using it. I see how it would help motivate people to keep exercising but to me the game really made me waste my time. It would show that I had been exercising only for 17 minutes when I had been at least 40 minutes with the damn thing. What I like about this one is that it gets straight to the point. I've been using the demo and now the game for a week now and I can easily fit a 35 minute workout before work or in the afternoon.

Only 20 songs?! Damn. That's an un-sell for me.

I really enjoy the first game and I was so excited when they announced the second game, but after knowing the price... I think I’m gonna wait for sale

I do kick boxing and this games seems great as a addittion or supplement if I miss the gym. As well as an additional active games to play along with beat saber, just Dance, ring fit. But also the weakest of the bunch.

Game is ok I really wanted to love it but the weaves just don’t register at any reliable way for me. I wish the instructors had a bit more differences to them. After ring fit it’s been hard to stay with this one. I’m going to stick with it a bit more as I do get a great workout definitely a mixed bag.

I love this and get a great workout but I hurt my knees doing the body hooks and body uppercuts.

I'd like to add that on top of all that was discussed, the game doesn't drop in price and to be totally honest, I don't think paying more than $20 makes the game worth it :(

I think I might just get Ring Fit Adventure instead, sounds like they didn't fix the problems of the original and just added some neglegable stuff.

I think exercising video games need to quit putting their own soundtrack that pretty much no one cares, even PlayStation has a thing where you can listen to your Spotify music while you're just playing regular video games but if you can just listen to your own music then it'll pretty much be a success.

I never played the original game I had wanted to. I played the demo of this one and I have bought the full version of the game which I will be trying later hopefully if there are bugs they will fix it but don’t know about that maybe they will add DLC which would be nice but if the music gets too annoying then I guess I will have Alexa Play different music and then I will just try to mute the music on this game which I realized in the song won’t be synced to the work out but whatever at least there will be music to get me moving. Will see after I have unlocked a good handful of the achievements and a lot of the outfits if I will still wanna keep playing hopefully I will so I can try to stay fit.
