Why is most fitness content so stiff and boring? HAVE SOME FUN MAN loool.
Here's a 'highlight' reel of funny bloopers, outtakes, and funny bits from my videos. One of the things I try to do in my videos is add a little bit of humour. I do this for two reasons:
1. Because I want to
2. Because it adds some much-needed joy to the calisthenics scene
When I first started making calisthenics tutorials on RU-vid in 2017, I noticed that most tutorials were really serious. I found this odd because, to me, calisthenics was always something I considered to be fun. Whenever I'd work out with other people, we'd always enjoy ourselves and have a laugh. That was one of the best parts about doing calisthenics.
I wanted other people to have the same experience, so from my very first video right up to my most recent one, I've sprinkled in bits of humour every now and then.
I've always tried to balance it and I only add it in when I think it's appropriate. Ultimately, I'm dealing with people's health and wellbeing and I take that seriously - so I'm conscious not to sacrifice quality information for a few cheap jokes. But at the same time, adding a little bit of well-placed humour keeps things fun, engaging and memorable, so I think it's important.
When I break it down like this, it sounds quite insipid and formulaic. But really, I'm just being myself. I couldn't make super serious fitness content if I tried. It's not who I am. I need to add some humour in SOMEWHERE.
I hope you enjoy these silly little comedy moments in my videos. I think you do, otherwise you wouldn't be subscribed to me LOL. And if you're not subscribed yet then subscribe (it's free), because aside from making stupid jokes, I actually drop great calisthenics tutorials that'll help you learn skills and build muscle.
By the way, if you haven't checked it out yet, then check out CaliXtra. It's a calisthenics parody radio show that my friends and I recorded and it's hilarious. There's even an interview with the world's first calisthenics robot (called TH3NX) on there.

Major big up and shout out to my friends, Ibraheem, Michael, and Gregs who feature in a lot of these clips. They bring a lot of humour to the channel too and a lot of these clips wouldn't be nearly as funny without them. *Hey I love you my brothers*.
