I'm a big fan of HIT style workouts. But it will never gain acceptance. People, especially in sports, love to upload videos repping-out on dips or doing heavy lifts to make a statement. Bryce Harper started 2017 season with videos showing how amazing he is in the weight room and bosu ball. He got hurt simply running to first base and missed six weeks. In UFC guys upload videos and people miss more fights than ever. Common sense workouts don't look cool so they won't gain traction. Sad.
Keith Barbaro that’s right man. It’s about about the sex appeal of the training. Just the other day I saw a video of a top nfl draft pick cleaning 405. I commented saying “what does that have to do with football”. The video was supposed to show how great he’ll be in he NFL because of his hang clean strength. Sure he’s a strong dude, but that doesn’t have anything to do with football. I have some people whom I speak with who cannot accept evidence based training and what I say to them is “okay you can always do what you prefer. But it’s akin to continuing to dig a hole with your hands when there is a shovel laying next to you”. My goal is to just get more of the information out there to people who can use it. I don’t intend to change anybody’s mind because that’s nearly impossible to do in any area of life.
