Great video. Thanks so much for sharing as there is hardly anything out there about fitting these. Got myself a 2nd hand OEM set that I’m about to tackle fitting.
Also about to tackle this but my kit didn’t come with the 8 bolts for the brackets to attach to the chassis. Are they M10x40 hex with washer? What about the ones that actually hold the steps on to the brackets. You mention 5mm hex. Are they 20mm or 25mm long?
Just delivered my 2017 L405 LWB. THE infotainment saying deployable steps are like not operating contact dealer. I couldn't see and steps there. I am a mechanic but not familiar with RR. is it the infotainment system pre coded and ready for step installation or anything else ? Please let me know.. Many thanks
Can i ask question cause i have troubleshooting now about deployable stepboard that the same one with these after a few months suddenly not working what would be the problem is it the stepboard ecu or bcm code thay says central configuration, do i need to program the bcm or any kind of softwarw update how and what is the possible problem?
Since the video the side steps have worked perfectly this is where we go them , hope this helps www.pegasus4x4.com/land-rover/range-rover/range-rover-accessories/automatic-electric-power-side-steps-for-range-rover/
@@Freedom_fighters898 I believe facelifiting the taillights are easy they are plug in play, before you had to rewire the pins. Now the front fascia is the hard part because you would have buy 2018+ bonnet since the new headlights don't fit on pre lci models, so it would run you few thousand. Don't quote me on that lol
Found an original set for £600 used but this job looks quite hard to fit those plastic panels once there off you’d need help from above to get them back properly. Also cutting up there’s no telling where to cut. Wish you lads was Closer I’d even come up to to for this job, if it’s something you’d offer plz let me know I’ll Drive up from Ldn not a problem
excuse me I want to ask my range rover car with the same type in your video, there is a problem with the left side step. sometimes open sometimes not open
We purchased the steps from Pegasus4x4, £1300 delivered, no software update just straight plug and play. www.pegasus4x4.com/land-rover/range-rover/range-rover-accessories/automatic-electric-power-side-steps-for-range-rover/
Hi - I've got a customer that is trying to fit these steps to a 2020 L405 and he is saying that there isn't a plug on the drivers side to connect the harness? He seems to think that they cannot be fitted for some reason? Have you heard of this before?
@@RaymiesGarage the ecu module and wiring harness changed a couple of times between 2013 and 2016. From 2017, the ecu and loom is totally different and fitted behind the lhs rear boot panel and also incorporates the electric deployable tow bar within the same ecu module (where fitted) The vehicle will also need the infotainment panel reflashed using pathfinder software - it’s not plug and play
