I've seen this done with a normal petrol can and the rubber washer fitted the cans collar perfectly, could I find a filler collar with that perfect fit.....NOPE hha seems there is a mm or 2 difference in what I saw and tried.
@@LT_TOMMY_ its the supplied rubber washer like yours there thats slightly too big and Im not wanting to force it in as it likely wont seal right....tricky but maybe I can find same slightly smaller. My supplied tank like yours has a moulded outlet on bottom so wont sit flat...... nothing is ever straight forward even when im in the Chinese chippy! 😁
I suppose the fuel pump takes it from here. Why do stock installation instructions dispense from bottom, where inevitably a leak will develop? Just to save on a 20 USD standpipe? And why are Aussies the only folk on Earth who seem to have this sort of sense? I find no such clear and useful advice from anyone in the northern hemisphere. AND the best parts for van life are easiest to find from Australian sources, which add prohibitive shipping costs for US buyers. Touché, and cheers mate.
