So because it runs from the fuse board to the switch panel, can you wire up, diesel heater, water tap, 4 LED spot lights and 12v fridge all from the switch board now?
Hiya totally unrelated question here but hope you might be able to advise anyway. Where abouts are the grounding points in the back of an LT? Or am i just best grinding paint off and making my own ground? What dya reckon? Cheers bud!
Hey Tommy, thanks for teaching the world...by far the most simplest and easy to follow how to on split charging set up.....bro how do you ground the negative inside for regular family vans with no metal exposed near the house battery? ✌✌✌
You must have really lovely neighbours give them my regards, loved the video only problem is the colour it must be baking hot in the sunshine. I hope it is well insulated. If you're ever in France pop in and see me and share a bottle of wine. Cheers🥂
Looks great. I wonder if some black mylar window film over the windows (or black gloss paint over the rear and side windows) would make it look more complete? Still what you did looks amazing comparing the before and after pictures. (Especially doing this work on the side of the road without the use of a garage.)
Have you put the soggy old seal back on or got a new one? I had the windscreen replaced for the MOT back in feb but now the seal wont go back on as what ever is used to stick the glass on it poking out of the sides and takes up the space where the seal should fit. Mechanics had my van 5 weeks over Feb so im so reluctant to go take it back in case they piss about and i end up with no van for summer. Need some alternative way of filling the space where the seal should sit. I swear sometimes tradesmen or whoever see a woman coming and just think its ok to take the absolute piss
The rollers i used were called Two Fat Blokes or something like that, Its military painy on my van though. Yours looks absolutely immaculate. Ive just slapped mine on cos i work alot n just wanted to get out in it over the weekends. I bet it wont start looking like an actual camper til summer has been and gone now. I totally ballsed up cos i left the masking tape on the bumpers etc in the sun so it got baked on so i rushed to get it off the other week n it looks awful now. I'll have to put a bit of time into it n get the glue off properly 🤦🏼
Thank you, the camera hides a few marks, it's definitely not immaculate. When you get the time, just sand yours back and give it another coat, I'm sure it's not that bad 😊
Mate that looks like a different van lol nice work iv just got a 05 lt28, was my plan to paint it in the next month or so but the clutch needed doing so will have to wait for another month or so, really like that colour, with the tinted lights and black wheels looks cool 👍🏻
Thanks for the heads-up mate. I've just installed one in my van with the supplied "green" fuel line. Looks perfect while it's new, but I now know what's in store. I'll be sourcing some of the white stuff and swapping it out ASAP.
Have you got the power coming in from your car battery to the fuse then to the charger/relay and then through another fuse then to positive on to ur deep cycle battery?
