On our return trip to Adelaide from a month in Melbourne, we spent an afternoon in Western Victoria, capturing a mixture of Freight Action between Geelong and Stawell with five locomotive Freight Trains, Bulk Grain Services, and an Aurizon Intermodal all featured. We also get the drone up for a special shot near Great Western.

Our first train of the day heads onto the loop at Moorabool Loop, just west of Geelong. It's Pacific National's three times weekly Fruit Flyer Service from Merbein to the Port of Melbourne with locomotives 8152/BL33/8159 on the lead. This service is set to cross 6MP4.
With 7902V seen in the distance heading away, Pacific National Superfreighter 6MP4 is spotted heading west with locomotives NR94/NR14/G530 on the lead. This service operates from Melbourne across Australia to Perth over the weekend, arriving in Kewdale on Sunday night.
After refuelling at Gheringhap Loop, Pacific National locomotives BL26/XR557/BL30 power away from Inverleigh heading west to Dimboola for loading. The service operates under train number 7731V and has 45 Hoppers in tow.
After chasing 7731V out to Ararat (See Photos on our Facebook and Instagram Pages), we run into SCT Intermodal 3PM9 at Langi Logan with a RARE five-locomotive lash-up on the lead, including a hire CF locomotive from Railfirst. The lash-up, which includes SCT007/CSR008/CF4410/SCT001/SCT006, operates this mixed Container, Van, and Steel Service South-West here towards Maroona, where the train will turn East towards Geelong.
From the sky, Pacific National Superfreighter 3PM6 is captured, with a Triple NR lash-up of 83/53/29. The service is the same as the Melbourne to Perth service seen earlier in the video, except it runs in the opposite direction from Perth to Melbourne with mostly empty containers.
A last surprise of the day is captured at Stawell, not long before sunset with Aurizon's Team Global Express Intermodal 4PM1 rocketing by with ACD6053/ACD6050. Oddly, no G class was placed in the middle of the consist for Port Victoria Dock access, as is the usual case.
