If you run Dire Frenzy in a deck with only charge beasts like Charged Devilsaur and King Krush then manage to dire frenzy one of them. You can Kathrena into play dead for 33 or 36 damage.
@@farsightterinokripperino3180 Has it? Last time I took a look was like nearly a year ago at Kobold and catacombs. I didn't exactly like it all too much. Trolden did a much better job and has a very consistent quality even till now. But good to hear that it has grown to be better. I guess I will give it some more tries.
The problem if DHFM is that every video looks the same... russians screaming, missplaying the same combo again and again, stealing the best minion with TC mind controller... and them when Trolden post a video, we have already seen those clips..
Props to the dev who made Soulwarden a SIX mana card, so that even if you manage to set up the "infinite Soulwardens" combo, you could not play 2 in the same turn. At least there is one employee capable of anticipating how new mechanics will be abused. xD And I also think it's actually a smart way to make sure that combo doesn't get too powerful.
Playing 2 5/5s each turn is comparable to quest Rogue and while it might seem easier to achieve you can't have more than 3 discard effects in your deck and must draw 2 specific cards, draw at least one of the discard and empty the rest of your hand. What would differentiate them is that the Deck build around this should be way better. But the 6 mana is definitely a good thing since this card isn't intended to be used in that way.
That doesn't matter because you're getting back 3 minions every time. If the other 2 minions cost a total of 4 mana, you're still getting 10 manaworth of stuff to play every single turn.

Dylan B the combo he mentioned is 2 cards, 8 damage, which is far more unlikely than having double kill command. Hunter can do 16 damage from hand just with it's basic cards and hero power
Hunter can do 10 dmg in one turn in a ton of different ways, like the Clockwork Automaton combo where you double your hero power damage a bunch to one-shot your opponent with like 48 damage, or any combo involving gelatinous cube and charged devilsaur/king krush, lol.
I think this is better than card reviews since it provides a better image of what we could possibly see. Would definitely like to see a combo review video for the entirety of the expansion.
Considering Kripp is an OG Holy Wrath player, it's gonna be pretty dope watching him work out this new version of the deck. And I agree that it does at least appear to be viable, but we will have to see how the metagame shapes up first.
What about discarding for sure cruel dinomancer with shriek in a deck with a lot of spells ? Infinite 5/5 ! and you could add in Spiritsinger Umbra for the spicy wombo that pretty much win you the game. Even psychic scream can't stop the infinite army of dinomancer !! Well, at least it should be fun if not viable.
the thing about the shirvallah deck is a lot of combo decks can do more than 50 dmg (infinite with freeze/quest mage, topsy turvy priest, etc) without even having to get through their entire deck
The paladin 50 damage combo is good, but is it really any better than paladin DK OTK for infinity damage with the new cards? Time Out is just as powerful for that deck, but without the preconditions of having to spend 25 mana on spells AND drawing out your entire deck. For that matter, if you're going to draw out your entire deck, why not just play Mechathun?
you realize that standard control paladin deck can reduce it to 1 with conseration, equality, steed right? Time out or any drawing spell like Crystology will make it 0. Also, Mechathun for Paladin LUL
@@KKKuma that would require u to draw and play 2 steeds, and also draw and play both of ur full board clears. Why not play the DK combo instead? It's a true OTK combo, no damage restriction the opponent just dies, the DK himself is actually quite solid for surviving, improves ur hero power to 2/2 and the opponent MUST find a way to kill it every single turn cus if he doesn't he dies. So no matter how u look at it, the DK 1 shot combo is 100 times better. The other paladin combo with the molten giants is the true masterpiece... just like krip said if u coin it turn 2 it's just an instant win for no reason. Not to mention that a 3 mana 3/4 which makes ur healing effects GOOD is already a good enough card no matter what.. it just has the chance of instantly winning u the game if u happen to draw it with the molten giants. If you don't draw the moltens? it's okay.. u can still play free or cheap moltens later
The combo does only 35 damage because the holy wraths will reduce the cost (45 if the reduction happens after the card is flipped, what is kinda unlikely). It is actually tankable by quest priest and warrior / druid with some armor. The setup is pretty intense for something that is tankable by control decks. Pretty sure there is priest combo somewhere with the cheap copies of your minions.
@@xXMGVXx it depends if the Mana reduction is applied after the spell is fully launched; Which I would say, without being sure, that the first shot would be 25 and second 20 for a total of 45 damage then. But let's try it out in a little bit more than a week :)
I ran a paladin molten giant, baleful banker, and holy wrath deck back in the day, and while it wasn't too strong of a deck, I did have some fun moments. Unfortunately they reworked how card cost reduction works while cards are in your deck, so now holy wrath only does damage equal to the cost of the card after reductions, which means if you reduce the cost to the point that the card is playable (10 mana or less), you will be doing less than 10 damage to the opponent with Holy Wrath.
we can talk about mage OTK too.. have both clockwork automatons in hand, play both galvenizers x2 with youthful brewmaster so the automations cost 1. next turn play both daring fire eaters. so your hero power is 5 damage, play both automations so it goes to 20, molten reflection 1 of them for a 40 damage hero power for 10 mana.

Actually the first night Cruel Dinomancer came out in whatever expansion FT i think , i actually playe a disco lock ad got 1 dinomancer discarded and had my other just deathrattle summon itself , was great.

@@RadChromeDude The Dude was saying that with multiple dreadsteads on board Nogen makes it hard for the opponent to get lethal damage because literally EVERY attack has to go through your RNG of not hitting your dreadsteads. Regardless you're missing the point on Dinomancer. It isn't an infinite 5/5. It's 6 Infinite 5/5s if you play Umbra. One of my favorite combos I thought I was a genius for finding it on my own and playing it day 1 of Un goro

I understand dreadsteed synergy with noggenfogger, but it would be better with the infinite dinomancers. Edit: PRE-NERF dreadsteed btw, and the umbra-infinite dinomancer combo will always be fun. Not disagreeing with that ☺

Kathreena + double play dead?! Summon me + king crush plus both charged devilsaurs ALL AT ONCE! 26 face damage, 6 minion damage AND 35/35 in stats!! Now THAT would be insane!!! You can even draw one devilsaur or king crush and the combo will still work
shirvala wll cost 0 to play, but will remain a 25mana cast card, so Holy Wrath will deal 25dmg and i'm 100% sure, i've played hundreds game with Holy Wrath paladin.
Man does anyone else remember the days when you would try to soulfire a cruel dinomancer and then play another cruel dinomancer, and you went infinite. Those were the days

I really think a 1-cost priest deck is going to work, giving everything +2+2 or even +4+4 and using the legendary to fill your had with 1 cost minions seems very good, but maybe I'm just a dreamer.
1: Does Holy Wrath check the base stats of the card or the augmented stats? The x4 baleful bankered tigers would still be 0 cost if you played enough spells throughout the game

But tbh, this is kind of the same with like MTG and Yugioh, only you would look at it in like a "No ban list" format instead. (Just think about 4 fvcking Time Walks in one deck, yeah, I ain't having that shit.) Then you realize how much of a big ass it is to not just shove those cards away so that they can't make something fun without breaking the game a couple times before an emergency ban list needing to be announced.
I wonder if that'll actually work. Thekal says "CONVERT all but one of your health". Does "convert" count as taking damage, or just moving one number to the other?
Actually the max combo of holy wrath is 35 damage, because when you spent five mana at Holy wrath, the Shirvallah loses 5 of cost, dealing 20 damage, and the second Shirvallah deals 15 damage cause loses more 5 costs of second Holy Wrath.
I swear I said it when the first card releases first started to come out that quest palladian will be really strong in this meta and I really hope I'm right because quest palladian is so fun
The only way the Thekal/Molten giant will work is if the conversion of the former counts as "damage taken" for the ladder. According to the text of the card it doesn't seem so.
Net decking ain’t a new phenomenon. If these decks ever become meta they’ll be on hearthpwn in seconds and everyone will just get them from there. You can’t stop the netdeck train.
I know you want to play Hakar the Soulflayer, try it in mill druid with the card draw minions. And use Hemet to destroy the corrupted. Blood in your deck. Naturalize for the win.
Are you sure the molten Giant combo will work out? Because it says that it will cost less for damage taken but Thekal converts your health points not sure if it counts as damage taken but if it does it will be an amazing early game push
The final 50 damage combo is *kinda not possible in standard and here's why: -Shirvallah is a 25 cost card that gets discounted by 1 each time you play a spell -As Kripp says, Shirvallah would have to be 0 cost to pull off the FULL 50 dmg combo -to set this combo up the turn before, you already play time out so we can discount Shirvallah by 1 right off the bat (now we only need to cast 24 spells, yay) -now, this combo requires 7 cards (1 Shirvallah, 2 Baleful, 1 Elekk, 1 time out, 2 holy wrath), meaning you have 23 empty slots to fill your deck with -In other words, even if you filled the rest of your deck with all spells (which would be ass) Shirvallah STILL could not cost 0 The way around this? Sound the bells. Echo allows the discount to apply multiple times. HOWEVER, even on a full 10 mana, 2 sound the bells cards casting 5 times each would discount Shirvallah by 10 total. Going back to our reasoning before with the deckspace reserved for the combo, this would mean you would be able to include 7 non-combo minions in your deck (**hypothetically). Realistically however, it's unlikely you'll spend a full 2 turns only casting sound the bells on your minions. And if you don't cast it the full 10 times, that means you have even less minion slots available in your deck. So for that reason, I don't really see this combo being viable in standard, but please discuss
Hunter can do 12 damage already with a beast and double kill command. Can do up to 16 if you have a beast on board, double kill command, double arcane shot, hero power.
Will shirvalla keep the discount in the deck though?? I know that molten giant works because it only reads your health when its in your hand. But Shirvalla might be kind of like a "c'thun" effect where it counts all your spells all the time and is constantly discounted.
These combos are... optimistic to say the least. The only exception imo is High Priest Thekel vs non-aggro, but if you draw Reno you should be fine anyways. Combo may be tough for Thekel decks to beat though (ya know... Control Pally and all).
Not sure about high priest -Molten giant, giant says "damage your hero taken", and high priest Thekal says "convert" so does converting health count as taking damage?
So obviously none of these will be viable (except maybe the last one) but it's still fun to click on Kripp's videos to check out the zany things he came up with for the upcoming expansion
I'd like to propose increasing combo 4 to be Soul Warden, Soul Warden, Baleful Banker. Now you can infinitely get Soul Warden and Baleful Banker back to your hand, use the Banker to slap more minions in to your deck, and have an infinite deck. This works particularly well in the body of a Heal Package Zoolock, if you run the Death Knight and your third discarded card is Happy Ghoul. Now each turn you can Soul Warden, Heropower, Happy Ghoul, Baleful Banker the happy Ghoul (and play a free Happy Ghoul from the draw). That's... actually kind of busted, honestly. And not horrifically difficult to manipulate to get to. And fits in the shell of a deck that's already tier one. Throw in the Demonic Project as a counter-combo tech, and what you have is... kinda gross, honestly.
Does the Thekal effect count as Damage? That's the question. Crystallizer specifies that it does 5 damage before giving you 5 Armor. Thekal just says that it converts your health into armor. Curious if the #2 combo on the list will work. Also, Shirvallah will get discounted by 5 each time you cast Holy Wrath. So it would do 20 damage if you fetch it with Holy Wrath, not 25. Still pretty good.
Molten Giant counts your lost health compares to your total health. It doesn't need to be damaged at all. You at 10 health down from 30 it costs 0. If you heal yourself to 30, it costs bacm to 20. Also, convert is not damaging so no damage taken.
Would the Pally holy wrath combo even work? if you have the loa low enough to play, wont the one you shuffle in your deck be the same cost? so holy wrath wouldnt do 25 itd do how much it costs to play which would be below 10
wouldn't the shuffled Shirvallahs be discounted as well? also, if they actually aren't, each holy wrath will discount them by 5, so the first would deal 20 and the next 15, so it's a 35-dmg combo, not 50. Right?
I feel like there's no way the Shirvallah combo will work, unless the mana reduction only happens AFTER you've drawn the card. Shouldn't it theoretically draw with holy wrath and deal 0 damage?
I find the paladin 25/50 dog combo extremely slow to set up. But it seems to be okay to work with a lot of other stuffs not especially control oriented.
I don't get the number 1 combo for paladin . If you discount your tiger to the point of playing it for free and then do that combo your tiger is still gonna be 0 cost doing 0 damage after being drawn. Am I missing something?
