The thing that grinds my gears is when I’m at a bbq and someone ask me for cigar . Smoke it for 5 minutes and throws it away

I love taking off the bands and keeping them as a memory. The bands are so beautiful, I always tape them into my cigar book where I keep track of my cigar experiences.

The professional question asker is mine. “You should be getting this, do you taste this, what’s your burn like”. Just let me enjoy the damn cigar already 😂

When I was a kid, the ice cream man that came down my street smoked a pipe with a cigar in it. It really looked stupid, but now as an old man, I’m seeing the wisdom of that old man.

I've heard people say that the only way to enjoy a stick is by sitting down and doing nothing but focus on the stick.... you shouldn't smoke it if you are doing work, taking a walk, etc. Personally, I prefer a stick when I'm just relaxing but telling others how they should enjoy a great hobby is just ridiculous. Enjoy a stick anyway you see fit.

I'm embarrassed to admit I used to be a stamper....After I watched your vlog on when you went to visit the cigar factory in Nicaragua I think it was I then saw how much work and love goes into each individual stick. The term "let it die with dignity" is so appropriate. I think that should be on a sign in every cigar lounge. Love your vids man and Cigars Daily is the ONLY place I buy cigars online!

What drives me bonkers is the war on tobacco especially here in Australia. Your almost seen as a criminal if you enjoy a cigar here, especially God forbid if you want to enjoy a cigar while having a cup of coffee......outside....where once upon a time in oakleigh when you could have a cigar in peace!

I’ve been looking at RU-vid for videos on making my own cigar ashtray. I’ve seen some great ones, and I came across one where a guy turned a very beautiful ashtray on his lathe. He then made a small recess in the middle and proceeded to glue in a metal snuffing disc. He made a beautiful cigar ashtray then ruined it with a snuffing disc. Another peeve I’ve been seeing is the dunking of cigars in liquid then drying them off before smoking them. Just as bad, if not worse, as slobbering all over them.

My biggest thing is going to favorite lounge and seeing a premium cigar left in the ashtray by a previous patron that was halfway or less smoked and abandoned. They might not have liked the flavor or whatever reason it just seems like such a waste to someone who enjoys even the ones that aren't a favorite.

Once again, Tim. The oral fixation demo of the cigar was classic. I lost it again. LOL

This was great. This should be a prerequisite 101 class for any Noob. It's not a "do it my way" sort of thing, it's respect for the people and the craft. Love it, Keep it up.

Cello and cigar sniffer here... This video was hilarious. I had to laugh out loud a few times. Moving on, you're right about the cello fo sure. It's some neurotic sort of thing where I want to know something more about the cigar and my brain says to hive it a wiff. Now out of the cellophane, you're mostly correct. They do have slightly different scents. It doesnt tell you a lot about the cigar, but I do enjoy scent and ritual, especially when I feel the need for what my mind considers "the full experience " 😂😂

The other one is people who are too ignorant to try new things. I am a big fan of the PerfecDraw Cigar Tool, people who say they have never had a Cigar that was Tight, Plunged, or had a Draw Problem. Drive me nuts, about all I can say is “your lucky”. Then they ask to bottom my Cigar CPR device, and I say but your the NO PROBLEMS PERSON?🤬 My biggest pet peeve is people with closed minds, never will give a brad of Cigar a try, because they know they (the brand) is all garbage. I say how do you know if you never tried? Maybe they gave magic 🎱. 🤩

Great video, Tim. The first two are gripes for me. I do wish the cigar industry would make the bands a little smaller. To have one that takes up 3/4 of the cigar is way too much. Thanks for the video. 💨💨

Several points to discuss: 1. New intro is great 2. My top pet peeve is the spitter. The guy who stands in the lounge by a trash can and spits after every draw. WTF. Just go away dude! 3. Tim “moistening” the cigar…I am just gonna let that one go since I have mad respect for you Tim! PSSITA and have a great weekend by friends.

I hate when someone keeps the ash on too long. Some guy at a lounge once tried to keep the ash going all the way to the band only to have the ash fall on his lap and all over the floor.

I like to sniff my cigar before lighting because I like how a good cigar smells. Each time I do that I hear Michelle Wolf say "Yum yum yum yum!" In my head.

Hi Tim. My grandfather, who died in 1973, used to stick both ends of his El Producto cigar in his mouth and get them all wet. He explained that doing so made his cigar "smoke better". R.I.P. Grandpa. I hope that he at least once had a chance to smoke a good cigar.

Few things. 1) As a kid I hated the crust on a pizza so I got rid of the worst part first before I went for the enjoyable kill. Don't tell me how to eat or I'll put my cigar out on your shiny head. 😉 2) The only cigar I ever licked had weed in it. Lol 3) I hate when I see people stick a cigar basically up their nostrils to smell it. 4) Hate to see people use a wrong lighter to light up. 5) Love this channel. 6) Maduros for life!!!!

When someone licks the end of their cigar and THEN uses the shop’s community cutter. Saw this once and never use community cutters EVER! Side Note: Love the rose gold Colibri V-cutter! It’s my go-to cutter now.

Smoking the band seemed really strange, yet I saw recently in your Sunday Daily program Terrance doing exactly that. So I tried it. Didn't notice anything off about the flavor of the cigar.

One thing that used to get on my nerves was when I would go to a cigar shop and my friend who’s an older guy would take the head of his cigar and drown it in the whiskey or brandy he was drinking. He would then take it out after about two minutes and continue smoking it. I just remember how gross and mangled it looked after soaking up half of his drink.

I work at a cigar shop. My worst pet peeve is probably someone that buys an expensive cigar smokes it for 10 to 15 minutes and leaves the shop before the 1st 3rd is done. It's like why did you even by a cigar today, that was pointless. What a waste of money

Never saw any of that habits with my cigars friends in our lives or lounge.

I have to admit that I smoke pyramids upside down. I have trouble getting an even lighting by lighting the small end first the cigar burns more evenly. Also, I sometimes lick a cigar that has not been humidified properly. If the wrapper feels dry and crisp I lick it in hopes of keeping the wrapper from flaking off. But it often doesn't help.

I'm not a fan of those who think they're badass because they smoked thier cigar down to the last millimeter. I've only ever tasted straight heat and no flavor. As always your show is entertaining as it is informative. Great job you and your crew are doing.

The only time I lick a cigar is if Ive dropped it and their is a crack in the wrapper. I've found licking it can keep the wrapper from unraveling.

Tim, I love your videos! I always have loved a cigar here and there, but recently have gotten more into the different types and makers and became really interested in buying more of a variety than my typical Fuente 858 Maduro. My coworkers got super excited with my last shipment so I gave a few of them some sticks to try, and right off the bat they all smelled them. 🤣 I definitely agree that smelling the cigar doesn’t do any justice.

Never seen anyone smoke backwards. I think I'd laugh if I saw it. You did catch me with the 'smashing the cigar', which I'll stop doing. Finally, I've never seen anyone do this in person, but recall seeing a number of films where the guy will bite off the end of the cigar instead of using some kind of utensil. Who needs a mouthful of raw tobacco?

I went to a wedding recently, where the family offered a surprise cigar bar. With it also being my birthday, I decided to light one up. This was only the second time I've ever smoked a cigar, but I made a point to smoke it past the band because I knew it was expensive. Super sad though, the ash tray was full of half-smoked and quarter-smoked cigars 😭

This has to be one of the best videos you have ever made. You we're so funny. I have yet see anyone smoking their cigar the opposite end or licking the entire cigar but that would really erk me. You licking the cigar reminded me when I used to smoke pot and had a friend ever rolling the blunt he will lick it all over to make sure it didn't open up. I used to say to him is licking it that much f**king necessary. It's gross but we still smoked it lol... We were young. Now I've been smoking cigars for 5 years now and I was like thank God I don't have any bad cigar habits until I saw the end. I'm one of those guys that I twist smash my cigar when I'm done hahahaha.
